- The phrase "untitled nobility" simply refers to nobles without titles, as explained at Heraldica.org. Perhaps this needs clarification? I've seen German shields displayed sans crest, and German crests displayed sans shield. —Tamfang (talk) 06:06, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
