editCan you tell me the job roles of nurses including district nurses
Nigel Crisp/perm sec
editSir Nigel also being Chief Exec of the NHS hardly deserves a deletion? Especially as today it's announced the posts will be split on Sir Nigel's imminent departure. Sir Ian Carruthers, who is the Department of Health's acting director of commissioning, takes over as acting NHS chief executive. Hugh Taylor, the director of strategy and business development, becomes acting permanent secretary. --Farsee50 18:12, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
Should it also be made clear that neither of his predecessors held both jobs? -- 128.232.247.218 05:16, 13 March 2006
This situation has now resolved itself as David Nicholson has been appointed as NHS Chief Exec and Hugh Taylor as Perm. Sec. on a permanent basis. I have amended the Perm. Sec. paragraph to show this. Lxxxi 11:18, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
NHS Pensions Agency/NHS PASA
editI've replaced the reference to the NHS Pensions Agency as an executive agency with NHS PASA. The NHS Pensions Agency merged with the Prescriptions Pricing Authority and NHS Counter Fraud and Security Management Service to form the NHS Business Services Authority in 2005. NHS PASA and MHRA are the Department's only executive agencies at the moment. Lex3000

Could the link for Wellington House be removed as it refers to a different building? The DoH Wellington House is located on Waterloo Road. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 20.138.246.89 (talk) 12:43, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
This entry is really woeful, consisting as it does mainly of single-issue entries spanning pet peeves from the past ten years or so. While MTAS and the Darzi report were major issues in 2007 (and perhaps worth mentioning in a detailed recent history) they are not now. There is no real discussion of the Department's key role, priorities or challenges, or (crucially) the evolution of policy making within it over the decades. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Montague2637 (talk • contribs) 23:07, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
