Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kwangwoon University station, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Line 1 (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:07, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edit on DMZ Train

[edit]

Hi there PPH.....I am not following this edit you made [1]. I think it is supposed to be the 1st train station of the trip and the last. Can you explain why you added Dongducheon Station, which is neither? Thanks.--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 05:47, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reverting your edit.--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 11:21, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you are new to Wikipedia, there is an edit rule about Reverting each other Wikipedia:Edit warring, please talk to me here about the changes you have made. It does not make sense to abbeviate station names that have complete names. I will give you some time to think about this. We also should put the discussion on the Talk page Talk:DMZ Train to get input from other editors. If you can't agree to revert your changes, I will add the Discussion tomorrow.--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 11:34, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello, please could you stop changing the photos of the stock, as in my view the replacements you are choosing are not as good. If you disagree, i'd suggest asking others on the talk page to ascertain general opinion. Bungle (talkcontribs) 11:46, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

TfL Rail and Crossrail/Elizabeth line

[edit]

You have made a large number of edits implying that TfL Rail runs services (or will start to do so imminently) on the Great Western main line from Paddington to Reading. With the exception of stations to Heathrow, there are no such services and are likely to be none until 2021. Please undo your edits which suggest otherwise. Bazza (talk) 17:20, 26 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Once again you are inserting incorrect information. TfL have announced taking over the GWR service on 15 December 2019. It's still 27 November here, so please wait. It's not a competition. Bazza (talk) 18:39, 27 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Stop it!!! on the 170 article

[edit]

You moved the text "Driving vehicle pairs to transfer to EMR in 2020, centre cars to CrossCountry to lengthen their 170/5s" from its correct table row (West Midlands Railway 170/6s) to an incorrect table row (CrossCountry 170/5s).

You also removed the text "these will be lengthened to 3-car units in 2020 (see below)" from the CrossCountry 170/5 table row.

I'm not sure why you changed something from correct to incorrect, and removed text that served a purpose, in the first place (and perhaps you could tell me why you did that, and then changed what I corrected *back* to be incorrect *again*...?)

Then, when I moved the text "Driving vehicle pairs to transfer to EMR in 2020, centre cars to CrossCountry to lengthen their 170/5s" from its incorrect table row (CrossCountry 170/5s) back to its correct table row (West Midlands Railway 170/6s), which involved me using the visual editor on my PC with Edge set to the iPad (Safari) user agent, I did so without also reinstating the removed text "these will be lengthened to 3-car units in 2020 (see below)" to the CrossCountry 170/5 table row. This was because I assumed that you had a problem with that text being there, but clearly that's not the case.

Do you just make nonsense edits for the sake of it, or do you not understand that 6 WMR units will give their centre cars to 6 XC units (not the nonsensical "6 XC units giving their centre cars to themselves")...?

All the best, take care. Anamyd (talk) 21:30, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Fixing over-capitalization

[edit]

While you're "fixing something" in infobox titles, maybe you can consider also fixing the over-capitalization of "Station" there. They should generally be lowercase station, or just remove the word station, since it's not part of the actual station name, usually. Dicklyon (talk) 17:50, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I've seen you moved Culture and Arts Center station to Culture & Arts Center station (Changsha) saying that there is a homonym station in Incheon Metro.

I later have seen the strange disambiguation key so I decided to move Culture & Arts Center station (Changsha) to Culture & Arts Center station (Changsha Metro), but later I've seen that Culture & Arts Center station doesn't exist (so this page is unused).

If there is a risk that the reader gets confused he should found a disambiguation page (in Culture & Arts Center station and similarly also in Culture and Arts Center station) showing the stations that have the same name.

I don't see in Incheon Metro a station with the same name, so maybe the disambiguation of the station of the Changsha Metro could be not necessary.

Could you help to fix this (there is also a double redirect created by me that have to be fixed...)?

Thanks you in advance ZandDev (msg) 11:24, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya, I will fix this as soon as possible. Thank you! Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 12:36, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
For the Incheon Metro, there is a station called "Culture & Arts Center" on Incheon Subway Line 1, which got renamed from Arts Center station a couple of years ago to match the Hangul translation of the station name. I hope you understand it now! Thanks, Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 12:38, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

KeolisAmey vs Keolis Amey

[edit]

I don't agree with your various changes of KeolisAmey to Keolis Amey, nor do I agree with the page move. Please can we take this to somewhere like Wikipedia talk:WikiProject UK Railways to get wider consensus? 10mmsocket (talk) 10:10, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
I did not move KeolisAmey Operations to Keolis Amey Operations, someone else did the move. I was just updating the pages following the move.
You have your own right to revert them in your own wish, it is fine, I won’t deal with it firmly.
Thank you, Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 10:14, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the speedy response, it is appreciated. Keolis Amey Operations is actually the parent of KeolisAmey Wales and KeolisAmey Docklands so the move was incorrect. I have requested that the move is reverted (I can't do the move myself, it needs an admin). Obviously once revered you'd be very welcome to join in the discussion. Thanks again. 10mmsocket (talk) 10:18, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello,

Hi again,
After the ruckus earlier, I want to say that I am sorry for doing this and if I ever need to move an article, I will discuss it first. Thank you and we will take it from here into a more better Wikipedia for all of us.
Thank you and with my apologies, Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 18:15, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Pedroperezhumberto, @10mmsocket, Hi, I added the space, based on the argument that we were using the legal name and well all the sources used had a space when referring to the legal company, so though it made more sense to have the space using that argument, although it does look better without the space. Thanks DankJae 19:06, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello DankJae,
Thanks for replying and reverting the edit. I have seen your comment on the talk page for KeolisAmey Wales and I am very sorry for what I did. I will never do this again. If I ever need to move a page, I will ask you or discuss in the talk page of the article.
Thanks and with my sincere apology, Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 19:14, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Tbh you do have a point. TfW articles have a long history of moving around so naturally wanted some stability, I believe this is the article's 9th move in four years :D. Happy editing :) DankJae 21:39, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

Hi. Please note that there's no need to routinely add REVERT THIS EDIT IF NEEDED to your edit summaries, and especially not in all-caps. Some people might include something like feel free to revert if they were making a potentially-controversial change on which they had no strong preference, which is perfectly fine, but in general it's just assumed that any edit can be reverted at will and that text in all-caps is the equivalent of shouting. Cheers. XAM2175 (T) 10:48, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I see you are placing what I assume to be references in your edit summaries. This is bad practice. Put anything like this into the article as a properly formatted reference. A reader should be able to verify that a fact is correct WP:V and references aid this process - but you can't expect them to trawl through the edit summaries. See WP:BURDEN - you need to do this. 10mmsocket (talk) 21:36, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Merseyrail

[edit]

According to the ORR (i.e. the British Government transport department) [2] and National Rail [3] (not to mention Merseyrail themselves (see the last line on this link) Merseyrail is indeed a TOC. We have to go by reliable sources here. I suspect the fact that it is in the template is that Serco-Abellio used to own other franchises, but they no longer do - just Merseyrail. Them being there isn't wrong exactly, but it is Merseyrail that is referred to as the TOC. Black Kite (talk) 15:05, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I think I may have acted in haste here, it's down to me. It looks like Merseyrail Electrics Ltd is indeed the operator of the Merseyrail franchise on the Merseyrail network. Merseyrail Electrics Ltd is 50/50 joint venture owned by Serco and Abellio. So I was wrong to put Serco Abellio in the UK TOCs template. However I do think that what should really go there is "Merseyrail Electrics" not simply "Merseyrail". Thoughts? 10mmsocket (talk) 17:17, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I think you're probably correct. The confusion may be caused by Merseyrail (the network) vs Merseyrail (the TOC). Black Kite (talk) 17:57, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

August 2023

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into London Buses route SL7. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. I have completed the move as requested at WP:RMTR. Jack Frost (talk) 14:38, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Gupo station (Busan Metro) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No claim of notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. London bus images

[edit]

I noticed that you started to replace images on London bus routes with more recent ones. However, some of the pics are not exactly of a good quality (too blurry, or have weird angles, or obstruction etc), and per MOS:IMAGEQUALITY we should try to avoid such images that are not of ideal quality unless absolutely necessary (no free available equivalent etc). And to be very honest, there's no need to update the images when not much has changed (for example if the depicted bus model is still running on the route or if the routing hasn't changed), because in the end we'll be picturing the same thing just of a different month/year etc.

I'm not trying to say that you shouldn't continue taking photos of buses and contributing (we all come from somewhere, and to be honest I won't consider some of my very first uploads to be of high quality either), and as a matter of fact some of your pics are acceptable as well (examples File:LT525 on Seven Sisters Road.jpg, File:HV66 on Green Lanes.jpg). However I hope you can consider whether the pictures you are planning to upload looks presentable on an encyclopedia before pressing the publish edit button, because like I said on the route 149 page the ones that are too grainy or are obstructed too much are (at least for me personally) the ones that will probably be more unpresentable.

S5A-0043Talk 04:18, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I'm not sure whether you read this already so I'll ping you just in case @Pedroperezhumberto, but I just reverted some of your edits on routes 36 73 and 74 on grounds of MOS:IMAGEQUALITY as they're clearly inferior compared to the previous pic. Take for example route 74. The image you uploaded is particularly blurry that I can't read the license plate at all, which pretty much satisfies "Poor-quality images—dark or blurry" as stated on MOS:IMAGEQUALITY, as compared to the original one which I'm sure we both can agree that is much clearer. Please consider whether your picture is better than the original one before publishing instead of blindly uploading newer images that are not clear at all, otherwise I may have to take up the issue somewhere else such as WP:DRN. Original research # 4

[edit]

You cannot just change text and leave the existing cites that do not back up the changes e.g. London Buses route 1 where you changed the types of vehicle operated but did not add any new cites. This is now manifesting into a problem, where you are trying to add the same text into the infobox claiming that it is cited, when all you are really doing is copying the uncited text you added.

Or in London Buses route 466 where you are adding text and just copying cites from other parts of the article that don't back up what you are adding. Even worse is London Buses route 4 where you are just copying cites from other articles that make no mention of what you are adding. I have checked the cite provided and it does not state what you are trying to claim it does.

Despite numerous requests from a number of editors over the last six months asking you to stop adding uncited text that is WP:OR, you have continued to do so. Please take this as a final warning; should it continue, administrator intervention will be sought. Hsparsity (talk) 23:36, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to join New pages patrol

(Opt-out instructions.) --DPL bot (talk) 06:07, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You removed information that is correct. I wasn't responsible for the Route 290 info, but I can confirm it, as I travel on this route regularly. As for the electric buses on the R70, this is a personal observation, first noted by me on 12 March, and I am seeing them whenever I go into central Twickenham. I think they may have the same buses on the 235, but I don't get around as much as I used to so I don't usually see them. Anyway, the info deleted is correct. Donnanz (talk) 16:46, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, the 235 is a London United route, operated from Hounslow Heath depot, so forget that bit. Donnanz (talk) 17:20, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Following your latest edits, it looks as though the only way to solve your scepticism will be to take a photo or two and add one to the page via Commons. You obviously don't believe me. Donnanz (talk) 11:12, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that, but I had it down as unsourced information as there was no source to what you said. Sorry about that. Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 11:30, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have added the information back for the sake of this, but this still needs a source.
Oh well, it was spotted by you so ok.
Sorry about this. — Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 11:33, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Taken from the LOTS (London Omnibus Traction Society) webpage:

"Over half of Transport UK's first batch of Wright GB Kite electric single-deckers (1705-1712) are now in service on route R70 from Fulwell/Twickenham (TF). This batch had been intended for route E7 from Southall (GW), with later batch 1725-1736 earmarked for the R70." But I will add a photo eventually. Donnanz (talk) 11:48, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Forgot about that. Again, I am sorry for removing it. Will add this source later. Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 12:15, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have now added the reference to this. You need to click News and then scroll down to "Latest news". Sorry if this made you go crazy, it's because it was originally unsourced. — Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 13:16, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You might need to archive it, I'm not sure how that's done, and when that info will be removed from the page.
I hadn't noticed until today, travelling in and out of Twickenham on the 490, that all their buses now seem to have the Transport UK logo replacing Abellio. Yet the legal address remains the same for now, Abellio West London. That may change later. Cheers for now. Donnanz (talk) 14:27, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Alrighty, will archive it.
The legal name on GOV.UK for Abellio West London LTD did change to Transport UK West London Bus Limited. Don't believe me? Search Transport UK West London Bus Limited and you'll see. They haven't updated it on the buses yet but they did online on GOV.UK. — Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 14:46, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I should have qualified that comment, I meant as it appears on the buses at present, with an SE5 (Camberwell) postcode. Donnanz (talk) 15:08, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As it does.
Just like the other legal name on GOV.UK, this one (Abellio London Limited) for the buses at Camberwell has changed to Transport UK London Bus Limited, but hasn't been changed on the buses.
Another thing - I have just archived the LOTS link and will modify that reference with the archived link (you still have to click News and scroll down to Latest news however.) — Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 15:30, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm seeing news up to 29 January, not to 17 March, and news before 17 February doesn't appear in the latest (today's) update. Did you file an earlier update somehow? They certainly don't keep the news there for very long. Donnanz (talk) 16:25, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't file an earlier one, I archived the website today with today's update. I wonder why this is happening for you… no idea why! It's happening to me as well. I did archive it today, no idea why it's doing this. Will look into and will update you soon. — Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 16:33, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have no clue as to why this is doing this. Do you have an idea as to why?
For now, I'll leave it as it is and try to rectify this. — Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 16:43, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not familiar with archiving. The only thing I can suggest, is that as the update is so new (today), it may not have filtered through to Google etc., so they aren't recording it yet. That may happen overnight. It may be OK if you try again tomorrow. Donnanz (talk) 17:52, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, alright. Thank you!
I'll try again tomorrow and see what happens. If it doesn't work then, I'll try next week.
Thanks again. — Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 18:05, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's working on my end!
It now shows the news for 17 March. Try it for yourself! — Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 20:29, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, that's great. I was crossing my fingers, hoping my idea would work. It obviously did. I saw No. 1708 in Twickenham today. Donnanz (talk) 00:01, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You might be interested in using this photo, of one of the first electric buses, seen at Hounslow in 2019. Judging by the registration, it was built ten years ago. Donnanz (talk) 10:26, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Mobility Buses London

[edit]

Hello, I'm Tehepicbigman712. I have managed to find some more information regarding the mobility bus network including routes 902, 917, 922, 941, 958 & 972. I have been able to locate an official timetable for routes 902 & 922 from a FOI request for the both of the routes. As for the other routes, I managed to find them from another FOI where the timetables and leaflets of the mobility bus network were requested. And yes, to answer your question, the 917 did run to Croydon. It went from Park Hill Rise to Croydon, but I believe this route was the shortest mobility route to operate. Tehepicbigman712 (talk) 19:32, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Perfect! Thank you for improving this article. Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 07:35, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

New Haven Line signage

[edit]

The actual signage at New Haven Line stations uses the signage style encoded in the Metro-North Railroad style, not the CTrail style. These styles only affect how the infobox looks - they do not change the wording of the page. Please don't change it to the incorrect style. Thanks, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 19:49, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that, wasn't aware about it.
I was unsure as Merritt 7 station has the same CTrail signage, even though it is served by MNRR.
Just revert every single edit on this, I wasn't sure. Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 19:54, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, the styles can be a bit confusing. You are correct about Merritt 7; I've changed that to the CTrail style. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 20:04, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I am not from the USA so I was honestly confused.
Thanks for that about Merritt 7, it did have the CTrail signage when the platform was rebuilt. Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 20:27, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
One other note: while New Haven State Street station uses the abbreviation "St" on signage, the official name does not use the abbreviation (see MNRR website). For everything except the infobox title, I would use either "New Haven State Street" or "State Street", not "State St". Thanks, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 18:14, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah alright, sorry about that. It's because I would normally use what's on the station signage. Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 19:42, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. For everything except the name in the infobox, I would use whatever name MNRR uses on its website. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 19:57, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Alrighty - will do. Pedroperezhumberto (talk) 19:59, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Operators in London bus route articles

[edit]

Articles should reflect what cites state, not what you think they should state. Even though Go-Ahead London is the umbrella brand, TfL clearly states that the contracts it awards are to the subsidiary companies, e.g: 176 to London Central and 444 to London General. Same applies with RATP Dev Transit London with route 395 to London Sovereign and 411 to London United. Same applies to Stagecoach London with route 20 to East London and route SL3 with Selkent. This is reinforced by Buses also reporting the awarding of contracts to the subsidiaries and not the umbrella brands. Hsparsity (talk) 04:40, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The names you've changed for many of the Long Island Rail Road stations, are actually supplemental destinations. In other words, Oakdale LIRR station isn't named "Oakdale: Amity Education Group," Freeport LIRR station isn't named "Freeport: Jones Beach State Park," Ronkonkoma LIRR station isn't named "Ronkonkoma; LI MacArthur Airport," etcetera. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 22:33, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
