Re-organization

[edit]

I have conducted an extensive re-organization of this infobox. This included:

  • removing un-encyclopedic names (such as Staff Assistants),
  • removing the 'Other' section (which had included a mish-mash of Obama administration officials who were not part of the Executive Office of the President), and
  • re-arranging the names in a more logical order.

The logical order of this infobox is now:

  • Senior advisors (Emmanuel to Jarrett)
  • Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Relations (Jarrett to Muñoz)
  • Economic policy (Summers to Kirk)
  • Domestic and environmental policy (Barnes to Holdren)
  • National security (Jones to Brennan)
  • Communications (vacant White House Communications Director to Favreau)
  • Administration and Other (Craig to Rogers)

I have added the three Cabinet-level appointees within the Executive Office of the President to this infobox (Rahm Emmanuel, Peter Orszag, and Ron Kirk), in order to give the infobox more logical consistency.

In my opinion, individuals at the rank of Special Assistant to the President and lower should not be included in this infobox, with the exception of Reggie Love (Personal Aide to the President) and Katie Johnson (Personal Secretary to the President). Sources?

[edit]

How is sourcing of the information in this template tracked? There was a probable hoax name that remained on this list for 2 weeks. How does this mesh with the general idea of Verifiability? If this discussion belongs on the Transition page, please move it, but it seems specific to the template. Simon12 (talk) 02:36, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Organisation

[edit]

This has got to be better organised. It's so messy right now. Therequiembellishere (talk) 01:50, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not to mention it's way out of date and has many mistakes. First, there are a number of people listed who are not part of the EOP. For example, David Ogden, Tom Perrelli, James Steinberg, Jacob Lew, William Corr are all Cabinet department members, not EOP. Second, there are many names who are not on this list who could be: Danielle Crutchfield, Director of Scheduling for the President; Marvin Nicholson, Trip Director for the President; Emmett Beliveau, Director of Advance; and Patrick Dillon, Deputy Director of Political Affairs. First Lady’s Office: David Medina as Deputy Chief of Staff, Jocelyn Frye as Director of Policy and Projects, Trooper Sanders as Deputy Director of Policy and Projects, Franny Starkey Sanguin as Director of Scheduling and Advance, Jennifer Goodman as Deputy Director of Scheduling and Events, Dana M. Lewis as Personal Aide, Kristen Jarvis as Special Assistant for Scheduling and Traveling Aide, Tyler Lechtenberg as Director of Correspondence, Ebs Burnough as Deputy Social Secretary, Joe Reinstein as Deputy Social Secretary, Sally Armbruster as Staff Assistant to the Social Secretary, Joe Boswell as Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff, and Natalie Bookey as Staff Assistant. Lisa Konwinski, Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs, Legislative Staff: Jay Heimbach, Christopher Kang, Sean Kennedy, Jim Oleske, Jim Papa, Alejandro Pérez, Jonathan Samuels, Shelly O’Neill Stoneman, Louisa Terrell, Denise Wilson. (All from White Press Releases). If someone's not going to maintain this list, maybe it should just be deleted. Simon12 (talk) 04:20, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Christina Romer

[edit]

Christina Romer was removed when Gil Kerlikowske was added. Looks like a mistake.

It wasn't. That would be the reason for the edit summary. Therequiembellishere (talk) 21:44, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I see that Romer was moved into Cabinet position jwalling (talk) 05:04, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

David Medina

[edit]

{{editsemiprotected}}

David Medina should be listed as a Deputy Chief of Staff to the First Lady along with Melissa Winter.[1]

Update US CIO Listing

[edit]

Please change Vivek Kundra to Steven VanRoekel because as of August, 2011, the US Chief Information Officer is Steven VanRoekel, not Vivek Kundra. Benbalter (talk) 23:09, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed this should be made but the template is a little more complicated then I'm used to so leaving for someone else. source if anyone wants it. --Jnorton7558 (talk) 04:11, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Updated - was able to make the update as originally requested. Benbalter (talk) 18:10, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
