Expiration date

[edit]

The expiration date of the Treaty of Versailles was September 1, 1939, following the Invasion of Poland that started World War II, and the expiry date was April 18, 1946, when the League of Nations dissolved. 2603:8001:B202:3294:A479:81FC:A6F9:78D7 (talk) 09:23, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Raw text of the treaty?

[edit]

Why does Wikipedia not host the raw text of the treaty? It's definitely in the public domain. Alexysun (talk) 23:56, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Because "Wikipedia is not a mirror or a repository of links, images, or media files". It does not include complete texts of documents, even if they are public domain. Those go onto Wikisource, which does have the Treaty of Versailles. There is a link to the Wikisource page for the Treaty in the infobox, in the last field, entitled "Full Text". For more info on this principle, see: WP:NOTREPOSITORY. Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 02:20, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

There are many sources given but no references. Why? 2.30.233.20 (talk) 22:28, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Versailles Treaty redirect?

[edit]

I'm just wondering if a redirect called "Versailles Treaty" would be appropriate? Industrial Insect (talk) 13:18, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
