Proposed Deletion

[edit]

This is my first time doing this, and I promise it's not malevolently. But radio stations are notable if: Notability can be established by either a large audience, established broadcast history, or unique programming. This station doesn't appear to have any of these criteria, and a quick Google search didn't throw up anything of note. Am I missing something? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Panyd (talkcontribs) 16:21, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your missing the fact that this station has a license and serves an audience, even if it might be small. The license is what makes it notable. If you still believe this article is not notable, I urge you to check out every other radio station article on Wikipedia. Some examples include KYCS, KRKK, KMER, KEVA, KDYL. Deleting this article would open up a can of worms and I don't think you want to go there. --Milonica (talk) 23:59, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
4,000 watts is pretty respectable. That's enough to cover an entire metropolitan area. Squidfryerchef (talk) 04:56, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Analog to Digital transition"?

[edit]

Should this be phrased a little differently? Lots of public radio stations broadcast a mix of analog and digital signals ( on the same carrier, i.e. HD Radio ). I don't believe the radio stations are going to only broadcast in digital, the way TV is about to change over. Squidfryerchef (talk) 05:43, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was going with the language of the referenced sources but agree that some clarification might be in order. - Dravecky (talk) 05:45, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
