Relevant for WikiProject Dungeons & Dragons?

[edit]

Aside from Misfits and Magic, every other campaign so far has used D&D 5e. Should this be put in some 5e category, and brought to WikiProject Dungeons & Dragons? —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 18:12, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Relevance of List of Sidequests

[edit]

The campaign section begins with a list of campaigns considered "Sidequests":

'Dimension 20 has had nine side quests: Escape from the Bloodkeep (featuring Matthew Mercer of Critical Role, and Erika Ishii of L.A. by Night), Tiny Heist (featuring the cast of The Adventure Zone), Pirates of Leviathan (featuring Marisha Ray of Critical Role, with Mercer returning), Mice & Murder (featuring many CollegeHumor alum), Misfits and Magic (the first campaign to feature a guest DM, Aabria Iyengar, with Brennan Lee Mulligan as a player), The Seven, Shriek Week, Coffin Run, and A Court of Fey and Flowers.'

Would anyone object to me removing this as the table below communicates a list of all seasons, and this seems to add a lot of bloat to this section Aldguton (talk) 22:17, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Recurring cast table

[edit]

Thanks Sariel Xilo for revising the cast table, it looks great. It occurs to me that we should eventually remove the Intrepid Heroes campaigns from that table, given that they all feature the same cast which is declared further up the page. That's probably a consideration when there are more seasons and the table is becoming very wide. The only oddity will be Griffin McElroy's appearance in Fantasy High, which we could mark with a footnote.--ERAGON (talk) 08:20, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I actually think the list of the main cast at the top of section could be removed since the table makes it clearer what campaigns everyone is in. The table looks fine in both Vector2010 & 2022 but doesn't work well for mobile. However, tables in general are not great for mobile users (ex: standard episode tables are too wide) so I'm not sure how we could revise either the cast table or the campaign table to make it more readable for those users. I think there is merit in declaring the primary cast at the top of the article like that; someone wanting a quick overview of who the "Intrepid Heroes" are can get that without having to scan the table further down and separate them from the guests. As for table width I agree its a challenge; I'm not sure how we can simplify it though. Thinking of other tabletop shows, none of the big ones have such dynamic casts that I'm aware of, so I can't think of a good example to look at as reference. In the long run we may well want to split the list of seasons into a dedicated article, but we're not quite there yet.--ERAGON (talk) 18:42, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
