Some guy at this music store I was at told me and my friend that these guys were the "incarnation of Led Zeppelin", I have yet to get any of this stuff, so does anybody else share this sentiment?

no, your a moron, they kick ass

I first heard "black mountain" when I attended Coldplay's performance at the shoreline ampetheater courtesy of Steve "Woz" Wozniak in Mountain View, California. Ironically, Mountain View is only 10 miles away from a portion of the santa cruz mountain range that holds the san andreas fault named "Black Mountain"! I thought they were perhaps a local band due to the close proximity of our own black mountain in the bay area / silicon valley. Black mountain's base guitarist is perhaps one of the best I have heard - his performance was concentrated and well tuned to their unique sound. As an opening treat for coldplay it was exceptional.

Steve McBean was in a band called Mission of Christ. As far as I know, they released 1 demo (Silence in Grave) and there's also a unreleased demo that came out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gr1phOTR (talkcontribs) 00:54, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Band Name Explanation

[edit]

Why was the bit about McBean's day job deleted as "vandalism?" I'm going to put that back in for now.

Citation? Or something?

[edit]

From the article: "The band is a psychedelic amalgamation of Neil Young and Buffalo Springfield, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, the Velvet Underground, and Black Sabbath." Big names. Why not throw in the Beatles and Mozart while we're at it. And, oh, Segovia. But if we want to say this, we should be citing reviewers who invoke these names. - Jmabel | Talk 04:26, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Interviews with and articles about the band in media should be cited as references for article content, where appropriate. However, they should not be added directly to the external links section of the article, as that's not meant to be a comprehensive web directory of every page that can be found with any band-related content whatsoever — it's meant only for the one or two most centrally relevant band-specific websites.

The following links have accordingly been removed from the article. I'm adding them here so that they can be readded to the article as references if needed:
