Metro... In Dino (transl. Metro... Nowadays) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language romantic drama written and directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by T-Series Films and Anurag Basu Productions.[1] It is the spiritual sequel to Anurag Basu's previous critically acclaimed hit film Life in a... Metro (2007). The film's dialogue are written by Samrat Chakraborty. The film is an anthology of 4 different heartwarming stories of contemporary couples and stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.[1] The film was officially announced in March 2025. Principal photography took place up to March 2025 in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Lucknow. [2]
The film draws its title from the song "In Dino" from Life in a... Metro.[3] Director Basu was planning to make the sequel film for a long time but it was during 1st COVID-19 lockdown when he got an idea that he developed into the latest film. [4][5]
Premise
[edit]The film is an anthology of four stories of contemporary couples. All four stories are set to connect with each other at some point in the film is releasing theatrically in 5 December 2025.

Production

[edit]Konkana Sen Sharma is retained from the original film but may be expected not to reprise her role. Anurag Basu cast Aditya Roy Kapur and Fatima Sana Sheikh once again after Netflix original film Ludo (2020).[9]
Filming
[edit]Principal photography of the film includes the Kolkata leg of the shoot that was carried out in March 2025. [10] Shooting was concluded by March 2025 in Delhi, which was preceded by some scenes being shot at Barog railway station, Himachal Pradesh.wrapped 5 February 2025 [11]
Music
[edit]The film's music is composed by Pritam, who has collaborated once again with Anurag Basu after Life in a... Metro (2007).[1] Actor Anupam Kher has sung a song for the film. [12]
Release
[edit]Metro...in Dino with ensemble cast was scheduled for a theatrical release in 5 December 2025.[13]
