WELCOME TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ATMOSPHERIC CHEMISTRY

Part of the School of Chemistry
School of Atmospheric chemistry

Atmospheric chemistry is the study of the Earth's atmosphere and the atmospheres of other planets. The composition and chemistry of the atmosphere is important primarily due to the interactions between the atmosphere and living organisms.

As a branch of atmospheric science, it is multidisciplinary, drawing on research from environmental chemistry, physics, meteorology, computer modeling, oceanography, geology, volcanology, and others.
