The result was: keep. --Saroj Uprety (talk) 09:06, 11 January 2023 (UTC).[reply]
There is a real mix up between two people here.
- Aram Zaveni Sargsyan (AZS) d:Q501736 b. 1961
- w:Aram G. Sargsyan (AGS) d:Q4408661 b. 1949
At this enWikiquote article at the time of nomination] links to the AZS article and uses his DOB (1691) but shows the picture of AGS and links to AGS's wikidata item (Q4408661). Which leaves the question of which individual said the quote. — User:Djm-leighpark(a)talk 21:25, 3 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep, but fix the intro. It appears to me that this quote was said by Aram G. Sargsyan (the photo of the person in the referenced article seems to match the image here, plus the person is described as the leader of the Armenian Democratic Party, which also fits). On a side note, when things like this happen, as they easily can, I'm not sure why the first action is to go to VFD - why not fix the issue instead? ~ UDScott (talk) 13:29, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- My wife would divorce me if I spent an hour or two delving into issues like this. I've linked about 400+ wikidata items to wikiquote articles over the past couple of days and done my best to check all of them for accuracy and I'm just after coming of of being a little under the weather after Christmas, retrospectively may have caught a virus from a bus/hospital/nursing home/family and my sleep pattern is askew. I've fixed a lot of stuff on the way ... probably the most outstanding was the creation of Q115977854 So I kind of disagree my first action is to VfD. I've also raised this at d:Wikidata:Project chat#Sargsyan items tangled (which I should perhaps have mentioned here) because the engtanglement has gone into commons. I think I had 8+ browsers sessions open on this one and in the end decided goto VfD as the root cause was people not taking sufficient diligence in the first place, and its not good if they keep making the same mistakes. So I'm taking a little umbrage at being accused of taking this straight to VfD as first course of action. A prod would have been simpler but if might have slipped under the radar and this way there's an opportunity for the creator (who ought to be familiar with this) to pick it up and sort it. (VfD nom.) Thankyou. -- User:Djm-leighpark(a)talk 14:45, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- OK, fair enough - sorry didn't mean to offend. I just meant that it seemed like a fairly simple fix (but then again, I don't really delve into the world of Wikidata). I would rather have just gotten the right person in the intro and fixed the page, rather than going through the VFD process for days/weeks. ~ UDScott (talk) 16:06, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep:
Delete:(as alt account of VfD nominatator Djm-leighpark) I was aware of the allegations and complaints on the talk page having had an alert raised from it and I returned here expecting to find this problem fixed having made changes on wikidata and commons to which are hopefully helpful in the disambiguation. And it would have been a simple keep vote if it has been fixed. The key policy here is accuracy (see WQ:Wikiquote) and the article as it currently stands fails that policy as and such if the article remains inaccurate then delete is the only reasonable close in my opinion. I trialled edited up a revision 3228570 but I've self reverted that as I am 90% but not 100% sure it is AGS and not AZS in the photo in the linked article and I can't be 100% sure I've got the changes right. Thankyou. -- —This unsigned comment is by Djm-mobile (talk • contribs) .
- I've updated my vote to keep as the latest version appears to address the accuracy issues that were previously present. Thankyou. -- 21:02, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- Regarding the identification it is not just the photo, it is also the mentioning of the leadership of the Armenian Democratic Party which (as @UDScott: already noticed) fits with the Wikipedia description. -- Mdd (talk) 14:16, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, per @UDScott:. I fixed the intro, and moved the article to avoid further confusion between those two. -- Mdd (talk) 13:59, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
