Rod Stewart follow-up: thank you, etc

[edit]

I don’t often edit pages, so my apologies for making the error of citing a Wikipedia page as a source. Of course, I wouldn’t consider it when writing an academic paper, but I thought if I were ever presented with the opportunity to do so this would be the place. For what it’s worth, the article on civilian awards/decoration in the United States is nicely done, although this point is irrelevant now.

I certainly didn’t intend on ruffling any feathers and I don’t suggest the quote be removed; however, it does seem important enough to follow-up with factual information. I’m happy to find a source that is not Wikipedia-based and do so if you are amenable to the update. Even though his statement is an opinion, it doesn’t make it any less important to correct (of course, this is my own humble opinion).

I certainly have no idea what Mr. Stewart would think or want in this case. I do know if I had misspoken and a direct quote was in the public domain, I would want accurate information to follow it.

Thank you for your time. I appreciate the information about proper citations in Wikipedia articles and will make use of it in the future. ScienceJohn99 (talk) 04:38, 22 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Caine

[edit]

You reverted my edit of the Michael Caine article. If you read the Cockney article you will see that Michael Caine is mentioned several times as an example with a Cockney accent. Registreernu (talk) 20:03, 7 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
