Thank you for answering my question about the comments! I already have a wikipedia username but for some strange reason I was not logged into it. Next time, I will send you a message from my account.

Shez 15 and Rani Mukerji

[edit]

Maybe the two should get married! Anyways, the Rani page is in trouble again and i have begun a discussion on the wikipedia indian cinema project page. Feel free to discuss. Thanks. Pa7 00:58, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

== Rani's personal life ==

[edit]

Well, since you won't let me put any link ups which are controversial parts of her career, i had to put something in her personal life. No matter how geeky or busy someone is, everyone has a personal life. Therefore, i put charity appearances. I think the birthday was a highly talked about thing and it says a lot about Rani's personality. She's not a party person. She is more of a home person and totally devoted to children and the disabled after Black as she said. I've put something about Black too so people don't get bored. Now if you could just correct the grammar and put it orderly. Thanks! shez15 19:33, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ajith

[edit]

I also see that u are making useful contributions. U r comparing two articles which is wrong, as they can be different, eg. the murali article is different from the ajith article. I believe this will give wikipedians, a rememberance of who acted in the film. As wikipedia is too help the public i believe that this should stay on. Unless there is too much hassle from ur side. Aishwarya Rai Picture

[edit]

You said: "I upload the Aishwarya Rai Picture and tagged it. You tagged it as unverified. Can you tell me what's missing so I can repair it?"

Yeap. What's missing is the detailed hand-written fair-use rationale explaining its use in the Aishwarya Rai page. Please specifically see this bit on fair use rationales. --Yamla 18:08, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You said: "Hi, Yamla, it's me again. I provided additional information for Aishwarya Rai's Devdas picture. Could you check it to see if it's all right?"
Yeap, that's probably good. Thanks.  :) --Yamla 21:10, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

IMDb

[edit]

Hi, This is Anon Vandal of Dia Mirza article. See Aishwarya Rai talk page for Imdb Factual error on her Filmography Which if accepted by Registered Users of WP i can prove. on 'Dia Mirza' the filmography is not uptodate whatever the official policy of IMDb on announced or in production movie. Prateeksha is missing and the new films cited by you in WP cannot be found on IMdb. When WP makes a table of Filmography i presume they wanted the reader to believe 'IMdb' as the source since there are no apparent links to Filmography and IMDb cited at the bottom in 'External Links'. If this is true then what could be the source for new names being added by you to the Filmography? They needed a citation which if are presumed to be lifted from the IMdb 'Filmography' cannot be traced to the page(not updated). In this scenario is it not appropiate to add footnote to the new names being added by you when they are not found in IMDb? May be You can raise these issues on IMDb in your 'Democractic Consensus' Nominating issues and voting as you seemed to have raised some issues earlier discussed on Dia Mirza Talk Page

IIFA Awards

[edit]

Hi Plumcouch. The IIFA Awards are known as the Awards of the International Indian Film Academy, but i think most people know it as the IIFA Awards. Can you do a redirect so when people click on the IIFA Awards they can be directed to that page. I noticed someone has done it for Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, they have used the shorter version KANK which when clicked goes to the main page. I don't know how to do it, so can you do it for me, if you have time. Thanks. Pa7 17:21, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for telling me how to do it Pa7 17:33, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

KANK page

[edit]

Hi Plumcouch, I have been contributing to the Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna article and a certain anon keeps deleting the synopsis and other bits of the article such as the still. I wanted to know if anything can be done about this? I'd appreciate your help and advice. I have also left a message for Pa7 regarding the same issue. Thanks in advance! --Bollywoodbombay 03:09, 22 June 2006 (UTC)Bollywoodbombay[reply]

Tollywood/Kollywood

[edit]

Hi Plumcouch, I don't know much about regional cinema in India. Im more into Bollywood movies. I have seen some regional movies. I had a look at the pages, Ajith i think has been a big problem for many users. There was other pages about regional actors that needed improving such as Meera Jasmine and Dhanush (actor) but i think there ok now. Don't worry i'll help out on the pages you highlighted. User:Thala may be in violation of 3RR, nevertheless i'll help out. I'll talk to him as well if he carries on. -- Pa7 13:22, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Plumcouch, sorry to bother you again. I know your really busy, but could you please find a suitable picture for the Kareena Kapoor article. There is a new editor working on the article but she has uploaded images with no copyright status'. Thank you. Pa7 18:05, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to "Meera Jasmine"

[edit]

Dear Plumcouch,

I notice you've been making mass modifications to the "Meera Jasmine" page. The information is a lot more exhaustive before you make the changes. From the page history, I notice that Ushananda and Vasanth Sheshadri spend a lot of time undoing your modifications. I believe Ushananda's and Vasanth Sheshadri's version of the page is much better. So I think myself, Ushananda and Vasanth Sheshadri would all appreciate if you don't make modifications to the "Meera Jasmine" page.

Thanks!

Hello, Anon, unfortunately, the page is a mess - it's filled with fangush, there's Quotes (which belong to Wikiquotes), the movies are commented on and there actually phrases in there like "celebrated director" and "rave reviews". Those kind of things just don't belong into an enencyclopaedic article. If you guys don't remove them, I will. --Plumcouch 11:25, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to Meera Jasmine

[edit]

Hi Plumcouch.

As per your request, I've replaced the phrase "celebrated Indian director Mani Ratnam" with "director Mani Ratnam", and "rave reviews" with "good reviews". I agree with you that quotes belong to Wikiquote, and decided not to have them here.

However, I believe it's alright for the movies to have comments. I've put it under the column "Other Details". I believe the Other Details column is certainly not out of place in an encyclopedic article.

I believe your version of the site is also quite a mess, with a couple of "citation needed" messages. And your version also lacks the level of detail which the longer version has. As a result, I would find it appropriate if the current, longer version remains the stable version.

Meera Jasmine page

[edit]

Hi Plumcouch!

I agree that the Other Details column has a lot of speculations. I'll taper down the comments to make it more factual and less opinionated.

Regarding the pic, it's a screenshot from the Tamil movie Mercury Pookal. When I first uploaded the pic, I specified the copyright status as Movie Screenshot. Normally, pics which are copyvio are removed by Wikipedia after 7 days, but no one has removed this pic for months, so I presume Wikipedia administrators are satisfied with the pic and its copyright status.

Thanks!

Rajinikanth

[edit]

In Rajinikanth I had reverted a previous edit to: Several movies during his Nineties were successful, like Muthu or Badsha. At the age of 56, in 2005, he had only one release, the successful Chandramukhi, one of the highest ever grossing Indian movies, a remake of a Malayalam movie Manichitrathazhu.

You deleted both the grossing part and the name of the film, marking it as vandalism! That's absolutely incorrect. I don't think there was any sense in deleting the name of the film. The grossing part, if you found irrelevant to WP could have been deleted, but I don't think you should have commented 'rvv'. --Karthik.raman 02:23, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi.. never mind.. I know actor pages are vandalised badly... I was just surprised to see someone mark my edit (for the first time) as vandalism! Never mind... No problem.. Let's make WP a better place! --Karthik.raman 07:06, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Plumcouch. Have you seen the Sridevi article. Its terrible!Iyear Lady. I have removed some bits but can you please have a look and see if you can have a go at reducing the fancruft! Im going to do some very fierce editing with the article! Right now im trying to find references for it. Thanks. Pa7 20:03, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Preity Zinta and SRK

[edit]

I removed the photographs from the page because the fair use rationale does not allow the usage of those images as a photo of the actor on a biography article. The fair use only allows the usage to: illustrate the work or product in question, which in this case, is the film. Therefore the image as such is not a copyvio (That being the reason I didn't tag it for deletion). It can be used on an article about the film. But its usage to describe the actor, would amount of copyvio.

Perhaps you might want to confirm this with somebody else also, as I could, of course be wrong. Regards, -- thunderboltza.k.a.Deepu Joseph |TALK05:01, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jyothika

[edit]

hello

i am back again , i have another issue to resolve with you. Why the hell are you putting a pic of nayathara on jyothika's wikipedia page.

Please behave yourself.

And please add a pic of jyothika. If you do not know who she is you should not interfior with this article.

Thank you. Thala 12:37, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to Meera Jasmine's filmography

[edit]

Hi Plumcouch. I just removed a lot of stuff from Meera Jasmine's filmography. Now, I believe all the comments there are verifiable facts which are not opinionated, and are relevant to Meera Jasmine rather than just the movie.

I checked the page history and realized that a user called Thamizhan added an opinionated comment to the Filmography regarding the movie Anjaneya. I removed that as well.

Meera Jasmine

[edit]

Hi Plumcouch.

I removed some the comments in the Filmography section of Meera Jasmine and toned down other comments, ensuring that all the comments are purely factual (such as "Meera won a state award in 2004 for this movie" or "Her debut movie in Kannada"). I've removed all the speculative comments (such as "This movie was highly successful").

I think you should be satisfied with these changes. If not, feel free to tell me. I don't intend to "guard the article vehemently", and I can make more changes if I'm convinced there's a need.

Asinac.JPG

[edit]

Im so so sorry! I found this image ages ago on a website claiming it to be from AC. I thought I'd upload it after noticing the page for Asin had no pic. After looking at the links you've provided, it's obvious it is a promo shot of the actress. I've provided a new Summary and Licensing for the image. Could you please look into it and see whether or not it is correct? Thanks a bunch! Polo246 17:34, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I found this image here ---> [1]. I don't really know the copyrights of the image but the website I found the image from states the copyrights of the image is reserved by them. What should I write in the Summary and Licensing of the picture? Hehe, sorry for bugging you ya? It's just that, I'm not really sure. Also, about this image ----> [2]. What's the problem with it? Well you see, I just copied the Summary and Fair use rationale from the picture of Trisha Krishnan you uploaded from the film, Aaru. Thanking you in advance. Polo246 07:30, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rani Mukerji

[edit]

Hi Plumcouch, I need you help if possible. Shez is back and has filled the article with loads and loads of fangush. I need some support and since Zora is not here can you please help me keep the article neutral. I think he is trying to make the article longer. Pa7 00:32, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there Plumcouch. Can you have a look at photos that User:Thakurgali uploaded? He claims GFDL. I am quite certain that they belong to the movie company and need to be deleted. Thanks, Blnguyen | rant-line 00:29, 3 August 2006 (UTC).[reply]
