Thanks for uploading Image:Gregorian - The Dark Side.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:36, 13 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. OsamaK 14:36, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Masters of Chant V.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Masters of Chant V.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:08, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

deletion procedures

[edit]

When you propose an article for deletion, as you did for Lawrence A. Weber, it is good practice to notify the author; the "prod" deletion template has a built-in mechanism to compose the usual wording--just follow the instructions you will see on it after you save the page. About 1/3 of the time, the author does improve the page. You're not actually required to, but wouldn't you like someone to warn you in similar circumstances? Nest wishes for continued finding of dubious articles. DGG 20:39, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use disputed for Image:...And It's Deep Too!.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:...And It's Deep Too!.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:16, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tagging for Derbyshire

[edit]

Just looked and you have tagged a fair number of articles. Well done this is useful. If uou have time then could you put |class=|importance= after the template? Even better to put |class=stub|importance=low ... if you cannot see any particulat importance of evidence of a 3 or 4 paragraph article. Deryshire articles are going to be good! Again well done ... keep it up (with or without my advice) Victuallers 08:53, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I note you have tagged Derby station for Project Derbyshire. Can I suggest Derby Works, Derby Carriage and Wagon Works, Rolls-Royce plc and North Midland Railway Chevin 20:20, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:...And It's Deep Too!.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Orphaned non-free media (File:Black.Uhuru.Red.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Black.Uhuru.Red.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:31, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of List of I'm Alan Partridge episodes, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://kickasstorrentdownload.link/search/i%20alan%20partridge/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Compilation Albums

[edit]

LenTheWhiteCat, I seen that you changed the album style to compilation for the various Tupac Shakur albums that came out after his death (posthumous albums). All of those songs on Until The End of Time, Better Dayz, Pac's Life, Loyal to the Game, and even R U Still Down?(Remember Me), were all changed to compilation. And I must inform you that, that in itself, is incorrect to label those albums as "compilation". Though I don't really agree that they are studio albums either. They WERE unreleased recordings done in the time periods of 1995-1996, and they DID come out on various albums after his DEATH (posthumous releases that I mentioned). They are in fact posthumous releases whether or not you agree with it. Studio may be the correct term for these albums, but they are really posthumous if you think about it. Same goes for Xscape album by Michael Jackson.

Xscape is NOT a compilation. A compilation generally is made up of publicly released songs. Xscape technically doesn't fall under the compilation album section. If anything it should be considered as studio. The Michael album, however, should be considered as a compilation, even though those were also unreleased until after his death. I understand what you mean, but, I still don't agree. I will never see the said Tupac albums or even Xscape as compilation and when I see that someone has changed them I will continue to change them back.

Sincerely, Garrlick

Hello again, Len the White Cat

I strongly disagree that "Life After Death" should be a compilation. So, let me explain why those said albums could and should never be listed under compilation. As you have probably read in my message that all of those said Tupac albums were recorded in the time periods of 1995-1996. Tupac had certain tracks that were supposed to go to certain projects. Do you honestly just think that 'Until the End of Time' or 'Better Dayz' are just a bunch of random tracks thrown together? No! He had planned on releasing those albums, until he was killed, then they were lost until someone found them, reworked the recordings and beats, and then released them. Same goes for all of the other posthumous studio albums. He may have not titled the albums, but they were all put together ready to be put on an album. Albums like Michael Jackson's 'This is It' should be a compilation. Or maybe a greatest hits album by whatever artist are compilations. What makes all of the posthumous Tupac albums different is that they were all unreleased and put on certain untitled projects.

If you still disagree than that's okay.

Sincerely, Garrlick

A tag has been placed on Category:Owl John albums requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
