My Dear Abhishek! Although I am doing all this for a noble cause yet, if something goes against the eternal facts, it hurts me at least. For the last 26 years I have been continuing to investigate the myth which prevails still in the minds of so many scholars that Ram Prasad 'Bismil' was only a decoit who looted the train and was hanged to death in 1927'which is not the truth at all. Out of 11 books written by Bismil, I have searched 9 and all of them have been published. I have still a huge material about so many revolutionaries but no body wants to take it's notice. If you have some time kindly see my article in Hindi Wikipedia on Ram Prasad Bismil and Ram Prasad 'Bismil'. I have in my possession the original photograph which I have submitted and still so many things belonging to Bismil which will be submitted to Wikipedia later on. Till then Namaskar! Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. - 220.101 talk\Contribs 17:23, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Krantmlverma, I wanted to inform you that many of the images on the article Ram Prasad Bismil are not really acceptable for inclusion on an encyclopedia. Although it's acceptable for images to be obtained by scanning or photographing them from a book, they should not be of poor quality (see Wikipedia:Images#Image_choice_and_placement). Specifically:

 1. File:Signatures1257.jpg — completely illegible
 2. File:Bharat_Of_Bismil1259.jpg — blurry and the words are illegible. It is possible to recognize the territories within the map, but not the named territories themselves
 3. File:Man_Ki_Lahar1231.jpg — slightly blurry
 4. File:AhmedabadCongress1921.jpg — (recently moved to this name) is completely blurry, entirely illegible, and there is no possible way to recognize the humans photographed
 5. File:Accused_Of_Cacori_Conspiracy1271.jpg — blurry and illegible, and you can see the pages of the book it was photographed from
 6. File:Funeral_at_Rajghat1249.jpg — blurry and illegible
 7. File:Book_of_Krant1198.jpg — could be photographed a little better to fix contrasting issues.

Please know that Wikipedia has a Photography Workshop where you may request for images not aligned straight to be corrected, etc. Unfortunately, blurry images cannot be fixed. Would it be at all possible for you to scan these images, or to re-photograph them so that they meet the quality expected of Wikipedia images?

Finally, the majority of images uploaded by you fail to have proper copyright status and licensing, fair use rationales, and descriptions. Please read WP:Images for more information. If you do not add this information to the images, they will be promptly deleted. I will have your talk page on watch and you may respond here or at my talk page if you have any questions. – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 16:44, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:LalaHarDayal431.GIF

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:LalaHarDayal431.GIF. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:35, 26 April 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Musamies (talk) 11:35, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Signatures1257.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Signatures1257.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Signatures1257.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 19:38, 29 April 2011 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ~~EBE123~~ talkContribs 19:38, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Ashfaq Ulla Khan.2662.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ashfaq Ulla Khan.2662.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

 • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
 • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. File permission problem with File:Release of Books By A.B.Vajpeyi.JPEG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Release of Books By A.B.Vajpeyi.JPEG.

You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add OTRS pending to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Swami Ramdev, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. There is an open move-request on the talk-page. It is therefore not allowed to remove the notice about that. DMacks (talk) 21:42, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Linking

[edit]

WP:OVERLINK specifically says:

"Unless they are particularly relevant to the topic of the article, it is generally inappropriate to link:
 • plain English words;
 • terms whose meaning would be understood by almost all readers;
 • items that would be familiar to most readers, such as the names of major geographic features and locations, religions, languages, common professions and common units of measurement (particularly if a conversion is provided);
 • dates."

I hope this helps you understand how to link Wikipedia articles properly. Regards, Ground Zero | t 11:20, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for the guidence in the linking of words. In future it will be taken care of, even then excuse me for the shortcomings as I am a learner at this age of 64. Please bear with us. Regards.Krantmlverma (talk) 16:04, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sir! this is another image of the same book which was previously loaded. Today when I watched it carefully, the word "Kranti" and Photo of "Bismil" remained out of focus of the camera in previous image. I changed the file to make it more clear. Both of these images have been taken/created by me. The author of this book is I myself, copyright is also with me, then who can challange it? I have my original work on this subject for which Govt of India honoured me with a Senior Fellowship in 2002. Even then if any body is not satisfied what can I do? Please help me. With all regards,Yours Krantmlverma (talk) 04:23, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I undid most of your edits. There are two broad opinions on year of birth, so even though I believe it is 1497, having both in the header makes sense. A section elaborates on the year of birth. The poem by Krant M L verma seems self promotion. If the source does not have a Wiki article, I think the views are not notable. Let me know if you differ on the articles Talk Page. Nmisra (talk) 07:05, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

My dear Mishra Ji! You have undid my edits no problems. I have written a lot till date and still writting in this age of 63 years. I am not going to die now. So the promotion and demotion does not matter for me. If you get some time and visit Rajapur, the native place of Goswamiji; you can see these poems are preserved there alongwith the original handwritten manusript of Goswami Tulsidasji. Moreover these verses have been published in Indraprasth Bharati an official magazine of Hindi Acedemy Delhi in my handwritting. Sahitya Parikrama Jaipur and Vishva Vivek America have also published these poems. I am a reciepient of Senior Fellowship from Govt of India. in the field of Literature in 2002. More than a dozen books till date have been published. I am the least bothered by these pretty things but you have deprived off so many wikipedians from a nice hallmark. Be pleased.Krantmlverma (talk) 07:38, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A phrase was given in the lead of above article along with its refence. A book titled Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna was published and released on 19-12-1996 by the former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee whose forward was written by the then RSS Sarsanghchalak Prof. Rajendra Singh. In this book a chapter was given in which it was proved with the verifiable contents that RSS is a Banyan tree of Bismil's thought" by the writter of the book. I had quoted the same phrase as an adjective to the subject article. Since you are well conversant in Hindi and Sanskrit you may see his Autobiography on wikisource. Whatever guidelines Ram Prasad Bismil had suggested in it the RSS has expanded its organisation on the same foot-prints. Kindly suggest me if this fact can be given in any of the Section or Sub-section. It will be so kind of you.Dr.'Krant'M.L.Verma (talkEmail)Krantmlverma (talk) 05:18, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Verma ji, a note about your signature: It currently contains a link to User:Mayur's userpage; this was probably unintended, and I request you to change it as soon as possible. To do that, you can go to Special:Preferences and change your signature text to: <font face="Rage Italic" size="4.5" style="color:#000000;color:#FF4500"><i>Dr.'Krant'</i></font><font face="Rage Italic" size="3" style="color:#000000;color:#008000"><i>M.L.Verma</i></font> <span style="font-family:Italic;color:black">(talk•Email)</span>Krantmlverma (talk) 05:18, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

The article Constitution of H.R.A. has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable topic with, seemingly, an unattributed copy of the constitution included within the article (WP:NOT).

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Tom Morris (talk) 18:17, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Linking dates

[edit]

As I noted above: WP:OVERLINK specifically says: "Unless they are particularly relevant to the topic of the article, it is generally inappropriate to link... dates."

Also, WP:MOS says: "The letters in an acronym or an initialism are generally not separated by periods (full stops) or blank spaces (GNP, NORAD, OBE, GmbH). Periods and spaces that were traditionally required have now dropped out of usage (PhD is now preferred over Ph.D. and Ph. D.)." So please write "HRA" instead of "H.R.A.". This is the Wikipedia style. Thank you. Ground Zero | t 10:16, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Let me be absolutely clear: do not link years or other dates. There is almost never a reason to do so. Also, "in the year 1927" is longer than "1927", but it doesn't mean anything different. Ground Zero | t 16:40, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

Please don't use Wikipedia to publicize your blog posts, poems and books, as you did here. While I do not doubt that you might be a fine poet and a writer, you're not so notable or famous that your opinions or poems or deserve a mention in unrelated articles. Also, have a look at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. utcursch | talk 05:53, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Let me be more forceful: Blogs are almost never reliable sources, nor are the valid external links except the official blog of the subject of an article. If you continue to attempt to provide links to your blog on Wikipedia, you will be blocked. Also, please do not copy material from other websites, newspapers, or any other copyrighted source; doing so is a direct violation of wikipedia's rules concerning copyright. Qwyrxian (talk) 07:20, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If for some reason your blogs pass the requirements of WP:SPS, you should never be the one to add them to articles--let others recognize them to determine if they meet the extremely narrow exception. If you have done scholarly work on these subjects (as your WP article seems to suggest), then it would be much better to cite those scholarly sources; still, though, it's usually better practice to see what others on the talk page think first before self-citing. Qwyrxian (talk) 07:32, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN I have been editing on these subjects for the last one year but today I found that some people do not want me to continue editing or contribute voluntarily on wikipedia organisation. Since I do not hide my identity as most of others do, obviously it is increasing my credibility which they do not like. If I copy from other sources they would argue it is the violation of copyright and if I attribute it from my book or blog they would say I am publicising myself. I am not finding the way out where to go. Kindly help me for God's sake. With all regards to everybody I will always remain faithful to this esteemed organisation. Thanks to every one.Dr.'Krant'M.L.Verma (talkEmail) Krantmlverma (talk) 15:30, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't substitute coherent arguments with personal attacks on other editors. I do not hide my identity either -- my real name is available on my user page and elsewhere. While your contributions are appreciated, you are adding your entire poems, photographs and blog links to unrelated articles, which is self-publicity (not to mention, unencyclopedic). Also, there is a question mark on the accuracy of at least one portion of your work (K. B. Hedgewar = Keshab Chakravarthy -- a fringe theory at best, not supported by mainstream sources). You were not a contemporary of the revolutionaries, whose biographies you're editing. So, obviously, you must have relied on some third-party sources while compiling your work -- why not cite them instead of citing your own work? utcursch | talk 07:03, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fake references

[edit]

Many Wikipedians, including me, have been appreciative of your contributions to English and Hindi Wikipedias, and therefore, do not want to appear confrontative. But I'm afraid I've to do this unpleasant task of questioning your edits, because maintaining accuracy of articles is more important than appeasing other editors. Please see Talk:K. B. Hedgewar#Keshab_Chakravarthy_and_K._B._Hedgewar. You added Shri Gurjui Samagra and other books as a source when I questioned the accuracy of your additions. I just finished reading Shri Gurjui Samagra -- the book doesn't contain a single statement saying that Hedgewar and Chakravarthy were the same person.

 • Page XXII-XXIII mentions that Dr. Hedgewar was a member of the Anushilan Samiti.
 • Page 47-48 mentions that he was a revolutionary.

That is all. Rakesh Sinha's book and C. P. Bhishikar's work don't seem to contain this assertion either. Previously, I've assumed good faith and let your content remain, adding only attribution to it. But, given above findings, I'm removing this dubious assertion altogether. Please don't add it back unless you can provide a reliable reference -- the burden of evidence lies on you. If you insist, I'm ready for a third-party dispute resolution. utcursch | talk 06:39, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

My dear Utcursch! Actually it was not my intention at all to blame anybody for confrontation whether he be you or any other. It was my finding based on the talks with three living persons at the time of my earlier research. They were: (1) - Manmathnath Gupta, (2)- Prem Krishna Khanna and (3) - Ram Krishna Khatri; who provided me rare photographs and other related informations.

I can show them to anybody. If you are interested you may visit my residence any time and see them. I have already given very rare photographs and other facts in my book Swadhinta Sangram Ke Krantikari Sahitya Ka Itihas also which was published in 2006 by my regular publisher. Even then if my fellow wikipedians do not want, I am the least interested to place them before the wikipedia viewers. Hope you would not mind it and excuse me for anything that hurt your sentiments. Hi, thanks for your reply. Like I've mentioned above, I highly appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia. But in the above case, as you've mentioned on my talk page -- this is your original research, so it's probably best left out of Wikipedia. utcursch | talk 16:30, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Atal Bihari Vajpayee, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ram (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). The article Ved Pratap Vaidik has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the prod blp tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Sarahj2107 (talk) 16:48, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As per your advice I have removed the BLP tag from the above article after giving the reliable sources there.Kindly see it.Krantmlverma (talk) 17:59, 9 May 2012 (UTC) Dr.'Krant'M.L.Verma (talkEmail)[reply]
I see that you are adding a lot of non-English sources to articles. Please read WP:NOENG for details of how these must be dealt with. Please also note that a fair number of them appear not to be reliable sources. I would be grateful if you could clear up some of this and take more care in future. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 07:49, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, having waded through some more of your contributions, I am astonished at just how poor they are. Please could you spend some time reading about conflicts of interest, neutrality, reliable sources, copyright, original research and, well, just about the entire gamut of our policies. You exhibit similarly poor behaviour at Commons, where I have had to report you to the administrators. I rather not have to do the same here but there are grave issues with your competence and that of your colleague, Awadhesh.Pandey. The pair of you seem to edit the same articles and also cite each other, which is not good and will have conspiracy theorists considering whether you are perhaps engaged in meatpuppetry or even sockpuppetry. - Sitush (talk) 10:24, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Mother of Bismil1225.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Mother of Bismil1225.gif.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sitush (talk) 07:56, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Pt. Genda Lal Dixit448.gif

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Pt. Genda Lal Dixit448.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sitush (talk) 07:58, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your disruptive contributions

[edit]

Your contributions, both here and at Commons, are becoming increasingly disruptive. You rarely appear to engage in meaningful discussion and instead keep reinstating content and images that were removed by consensus. Keep this up and you will probably find yourself blocked from contributing on both projects. Your most recent (and repetitive) contribution at Ram Prasad Bismil has been reverted. - Sitush (talk) 13:10, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

My dear Sitush Ji! When I started editing the article Ram Prasad Bismil in the begining I was really not aware of the wikipedia rules. The people from time to time had improved it by providing help to me. Keeping good faith I did not bother what others are doing, I simply went on editing and uploading the available rare photographs on this subject. They were deleted so many times I uploaded them again. It was not my ill intention at all, every thing was done in good faith by me. So far as the contribution of Awadhesh Pandey is concerned he has created an article on me from the help of my blog and user page content. Suppose if you come to me and ask something about me I will naturally tell you in good faith. After all I am a person of 65 years old do you think will I tell a lie. So far as my contributions are concerned I tried my lable best to whatever I could. But now I think I should stop this job and devote rest of my life in writing articles/books for my publishers only who at least pay something to me. Here in wikipedia what I am getting? Only blames, harassments, personal attacks and nothing else. Although I had been a banker but I dont know typing, its a bitter reality. And one thing more, which I would like to share with you is that, I am a man of clear heart. I believe in VASUDHAIV KUTUMBKAM (en: whole universe a family). I do not conceal my identity. What I am, I am. I never indulge myself in the edit-wars. This is not my nature. One thing that I would like to request you to please do it on my behalf. I have given here some external links on the bottomline of this article. Please spare some time and improve this article for those who are really in need of good aricles. If something has been uttered here wrong by me I would request you to forgive me for god's sake. With good wishes, I remain, Your's semper fidelis 13:17, 24 May 2012 (UTC)Dr.'Krant'M.L.Verma (talkEmail)

This is your only warning; if you insert a spam link to Wikipedia again, as you did at Ram Prasad Bismil, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. (Reverted edit is here) Lovy Singhal (talk) 14:37, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

My dear Lovy! Please do not show me the slap; at least behave properly this is my humble request to you. I had given some exeternal links of English in good faith so as to help Sitush because he does not understand Hindi and requested him also to improve this article. Kindly see my comments hereinabove. Even then if you reverted them, no problem. I have many other books for the reliable references on this topic. But I doubt if I edit this article, both of you may discrupt me again. This is the only problem with me. Yours Krantmlverma (talk) 04:22, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think that you seriously need to consider whether the English language version of Wikipedia is a good fit for you. Despite your many contributions, you are clearly failing to understand even the most basic of policies and guidelines, your phrasing in article space is very poor (but far better than my Hindi phrasing would be!), and you seem frequently to reinstate disputed content and then plead some sort of ignorance based on your age etc. It will not wash: you either comply with our way of doing things or you find another outlet. Have you ever contributed at the Hindi Wikipedia? Would that not be a more suitable outlet for your efforts? I know that you also contribute to Commons but, sorry, the same issues (and more) arise there also. - Sitush (talk) 23:48, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning

[edit]

Despite being told many times, you have been continuously indulging in copyright violations, spamming multiple articles with your own books and blogs in violation of both our spamming and reliable source policies. I do not want to read another explanation of why you are doing this, we've had enough of that. If you continue to do that, you will be blocked. The English Wikipedia has policies that you'll need to abide by, if you can not then this is not the place for you to contribute, you should do that on your own blog. Also, irrespective of age and good faith, we would need our editors to be competent enough to edit per guidelines and policies. Please treat this is a final warning, and instead of providing a detailed response, change your editing process to reflect that you understand our policies. —SpacemanSpiff 10:13, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hellow Sitush!
I had submitted an article in the name of Lala Hanumant Sahai - A revolutionary of Chandni Chowk who died unknown and unnoticed. Kindly help me to make it better. Whether only one web citation would be sufficient to cover the reliable source or not. Although I have given some other sources from Hindi books also. Kindly guide me properly whether I can quote the relevent contents in English (manually translated by myself) or not. Hindi sources

[edit]

I have just removed some of your contributions from the troubled Ram Prasad Bismil article - see these edits. You have been advised on numerous occasions previously that if you wish to use non-English sources then you need to address WP:NOENG. Furthermore, I really do not think it is acceptable for you to cite your own books, and I have some considerable doubts regarding whether those books would qualify as reliable sources in any event.

Look, you have had big problems here and at Commons because of your consistent unwillingness to listen to people and to learn and abide by our policies and guidelines. I am told that the same applies on the Hindi Wiki. Given the latter, in particular, the veracity of your non-English sources must be queried and WP:NOENG simply has to be insisted upon.

I am tempted to stub the Bismil article. I also sincerely doubt that any images remaining in it are policy compliant, given the number of times that you have re-uploaded the things after they have been deleted for licensing reasons/copyvio etc. I have asked an admin if they could review this talk page because your competence has been questioned in the past and you are not changing your ways. If needs must, I will consider requesting that you are prevented from editing until you can demonstrate a willingness and (more importantly) ability to change. An alternative would be to insist that you find yourself a mentor but the level of your intransigence does not bode well if we went in that direction. - Sitush (talk) 16:31, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Lala Hanumant Sahai, a page you created has not been edited in at least 180 days. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace. If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it. You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements. If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13. Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 02:57, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

HAY! Mr.Hasteur! Unfortunately I was blocked on 21 June 2012 for an indefinite period and my unblocking request was not considered, I could not improve this article. Would you please help me to reinstate my status? Thanks in anticipation. Krantmlverma (talk) 04:25, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not an administrator. If you want to come back, you need to make an effort at addressing the reason for your block (Wikipedia:Competence is required). You need to demonstrate what you would to if you were unblocked. In addition I see that there have been several cases where images you uploaded have been through deletion discussions. Perhaps a promise that you will seek advice from experienced editors prior to uploading a image. I see that you also have included several sources in non-english. Please be aware that this is the English wikipedia, and that english language sources are the most preferred, but other languges may be included only if there is no suitable replacement. I think if you posted a unblock request that addressed these issues, you might be able to return to a probationary status. Hasteur (talk) 19:07, 23 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Pinging Sitush to provida additional guidance as they appear to also be familiar with your case. Hasteur (talk) 19:09, 23 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is, Krant has been socking here - adding material as an IP - as recently as last month and has also been displaying similarly incompetence at Commons and at Hindi Wikipedia before and since their block here. Indeed, Krant is presently blocked for 3 months at hi-WP and every single image uploaded by them to Commons (which was a lot) has been deleted. Despite the attempts of numerous people on numerous occasions to explain what was wrong, they continued to upload inappropriate material as late as July. They've also had some issues at Wikisource. The wonder is that they have not yet received a meta ban. - Sitush (talk) 19:40, 23 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mr Sitush! I have not seen a person like you in my life who is so much biased that he can charge for anything whether it be related to me or not. So far as sock puppetry is concerned I had already explained everything on the talk page of article Ram Prasad Bismil which is root cause of entire game played against me and Awadhesh Pandey. I do not know what he or others are doing on Wikipedia but I can assure you that I am still active on Hindi Wikipedia. Although I was blocked there for 3 months due to some misunderstanding there between some persons. I have stopped editing with my User name here but you will wonder to know that I have been translating on Meta wiki and my edits are respectfully accepted there. They know my capability. I recollect the words which you have spoken to User Lovy Singhal that you will harass me to that extent that I will run away. I am 66 years now and would survive another 66 years but mind it you will suffer a lot by hitting the sentiments of a sincere man. I am still a learner and also think that learning is good for health. I don't take any medicine, I don't get upset and remain always happy because I don't hurt any body. When I saw the people like you on English Wikipedia really speaking I decided to continue here just to see who prevails and who runs away. Till then CHEERS Krantmlverma (talk) 05:12, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You edited as an IP. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that you violated WP:SOCK and are attempting to continue to push both your own materials and materials that match your academic POV. When you say that you will see "who runs away" I don't think you understand: you don't get to choose to stay. You don't get to try to decide that this is is just an obstacle and you have to be more persistent. You cannot edit. If you want to edit, you have to request an unblock, come clean about any and all socking you have done, explain what was wrong with your prior behavior, what you plan to do differently in the future...and then maybe it's possible the community would allow you back. Until then, though, every time you attempt to edit as an IP you significantly decrease the chances of you ever being allowed to edit legitimately. Qwyrxian (talk) 05:53, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
My dear Qwyrxian! Since you are a senior administrator here that is why I am telling you. Kindly see my contributions on Hindi Wikipedia here. It indicates that my contributions are constructive there. For your information I remained silent for 3 months and started only after my blocking period was over. I am a disciplined man. Why I will use others name? What I am, I am. I do not hide my identity. My book is open to every body. I had been in the WikiConference India 2011 held at Mumbai, where I was told by so many senior editors that if I quote references from my own book there is no harm. This question was also asked by one of OTR volunteers Mr Shijualex on the help desk of English Wikipedia HERE who had personally visited my residence and seen my work in 2012. After all every one contributes here for knowledge sharing. Then why there is a ban from a renowned writer when his books are available in almost 94 libraries world wide. In Wikipedia people get information from various reliable sources. Then why there is partiality against me. Being an administrator here you should be impartial towards every contributor whosoever contributes here. I have not joined Wikipedia merely for a fun sake. I am a dedicated man who never indulge in edit war with any body which can be verified from my talk page even then the people are attacking. Why? is there any logic? Krantmlverma (talk) 11:32, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Krant's mothertoung is not English. He may have done some mistakes, but for that he should not be blocked for all time. He is doing many good edits on Hindi wiki. I saw that he is helping Hindi wiki with removing spell-mistakes and many ways. There should be some conditions with that he can come back on enwiki too. So I have humble request to Sitush and Qwyrxian, please let us know the conditions with that he can come back to enwiki. I am not a big contributor on English wiki but may be help in future. Till now I am working on hiwiki.☆★Sanjeev Kumar (talk) 16:20, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Krant was blocked for a very long-term pattern of incompetence. One cause of that quite probably was his grasp of English, although lots of people spent lots of time trying to explain our policies in simple terms etc. That is unfortunate but this is English Wikipedia and if his grasp is poor then he is going to have problems. You may not be aware but he has had the same difficulties at Commons and he was blocked at hi-WP for three months recently, which suggests some sort of fairly major issue there. - Sitush (talk) 16:25, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Sitush, This is unfortunate that he made mistakes and got blocked in past. But now if he will accept the conditions which are needed then I think you should give him edit rights. On Hindi wiki there are many people who got blocked without any reasons so that should not be the reason. He may want apologies for his mistakes and don't want to continue those mistakes in future, so at-least we should give him one more chance. So please try to tell us those conditions under which he can work.☆★Sanjeev Kumar (talk) 17:35, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Personally I cannot imagine a set of circumstances under which he can be unblocked. If some uninvolved editor wants to propose one, fine (or, of course, if KrantImvera does himself), but for me, the combination of competence problems and self-promotion indicate to me someone who will not be a constructive member of Wikipedia. Qwyrxian (talk) 00:40, 31 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Dear All,

Though I am an old user of wikipedia but do not contribute much, recently I have started writing activity on Hindi wiki. I'm here to advocate Mr. Verma, keeping in view his immense contributions on Hindi wiki, and seeing his profile. He is an elderly gentleman with many scholarly achievements and national level awards to his credit. He is a person who has learned to operate a computer at this age, only because he possesses the wiki-spirit, the spirit to contribute, the spirit to share. The thing is that he might have floundered while balancing the emotions and practical requirements (e.g. posting a unique image of a forgotten freedom fighter might have a strong emotional appeal than the rational one to check the copyvio.)

Being new, I wish to know, is there a system to assign a mentor to any contributor, who may check the content before it goes public? if not, is it possible to make such a system? If so, then one of us can take up this responsibility. With Regards. --Manojkhurana (talk) 07:25, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The above article was last edited by me on 21 June 2012. You can see its Revision as of 21 June 2012 here After that I tried so many timed from my open ID but it was reverted. Neither Mr Sitush nor any other editor tried to improve this article. What is the modus operandi of Engilsh Wikipedia Organisation. Neither they unblock me nor they let others allow to edit the above article. Would some one like to reply on my talk page? Krantmlverma (talk) 06:23, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Any user who is willing and able to follow our policies may edit articles. You were not one of those users. As such, you are not allowed to edit. Perhaps at some point other editors will become interested in the article and pursue further changes; should those changes improve the article and be policy compliant, they'll be kept. Qwyrxian (talk) 12:56, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
To Qwyrxian, Yes, I agree that to edit a page we should follow policies and to mention a quality we need policies. But I couldn't found a proper reason for blocking Krantmlverma. Last time one guy told me that he used to edit like a IP, but all IP's are not blocked. Since he has blocked permanently which doesn't look like a right decision.☆★Sanjeev Kumar (talk) 14:53, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Did you read the rest of this page? Look at the problems with conflict of interest, copyright violations, the consistent inability to learn and employ our basic formatting rules (after having had them explained numerous times), and, ultimately, an attempt to add his original research directly into articles--in some cases, even disguising that OR by linking it to references that do not support the claims he added. Qwyrxian (talk) 20:47, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with your points, but for that there is a option that user could be warned that he/she should not add these type of pages. Even after that he/she editing then can be blocked for a small period of time so he/she can learn about himself/herself. But permanent blocking doesn't look like justified. If a user is abusing people and his behavior is harmful for wiki/wikipedians and doesn't have any possibility to improve it, then a user can be blocked permanently. If I am missing something, please correct me.☆★Sanjeev Kumar (talk) 06:10, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If intentions are known to be clear, no vandalism is seen, then most other issues can be tolerated. With time, other users may correct the errors or balance the views. That's what crowdsourcing is all about (as far as I think). As far as original research is concerned, my view is that if it is "already published" then it can surely be quoted/referenced. I've seen this in many articles, people contributing their own 'published' research on wiki. There's nothing wrong in that. Policy is surely applicable to "unpublished" research, because in case of published research if author himself doesn't mention, somebody else will, that will not make it wrong, that will pass the test. Quoting unpublished research will fail the test irrespective of whosoever mentions it. Now, regarding 'explained numerous times': everyone may not be blessed with as itelligent a brain or as good skills as ours. We must bear with them, atleast when a person is a senior citizen and wants to contribute his treasure of knowledge for posterity. Seeing his contributions (mostly about lesser known Indian revolutionaries) and belonging to the same region as him, I can vouch that the stuff he is contributing is "rare" and very much essential for coming generation. Even most people in our generation are devoid of this section of knowledge, so by next genaration this will be completely lost. So, I recommend that he should be allowed to edit. Finaly I would like to quote from "The Five Pillars" : "Their (Wikipedia policies and guidelines) principles and spirit matter more than their literal wording, and sometimes improving Wikipedia requires making an exception." Regards. --Manojkhurana (talk) 09:33, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, Manojkhurana, one of the many problems is that these people are indeed "lesser known". Often, the articles have relied on Krant spamming his own published research and are borderline cases with regard to our notability requirement (eg: Genda Lal Dixit). The time needed to sort out problems introduced by Krant has been considerable, as is evidence by the numerous warnings above, on article talk pages and on other Wikimedia projects such as hi-WP, Wikisource and Commons, Those warnings formed the basis for his block, the details of which are also still visible on this page - see above, around June 2012 - and hopefully this serves to answer the query posed by Sanjeev Kumar. Krant is a pretty rare case: there are not many people who consistently make as many mistakes of so many different types across so many different articles and projects when they have been here for the length of time that he has been. It is obvious from the sheer volume of problems that despite his good intentions, the man is basically incompetent in the Wikipedia sense. That is not necessarily a reflection of him as a person in real life, as a researcher of minor Indian revolutionaries etc - it is just one of those things. As an analogy, someone can be very competent in driving a car but an accident waiting to happen when riding a motorcycle or driving a tank. - Sitush (talk) 11:19, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Sitush, I understand that your answer is completely agree with my question. Since I am not a big contributor on enwiki. But as much I understand, you are also not replying whole question. We already talked earlier on this same page. Do you know there was a talk about Krant M L Verma at Help Desk (May 2012). May be you haven't seen that. So after reading that taik it looks like Krant has been blocked with under a fixed strategy. So according to that talk no-one have right to block a person like Krant. But even if he doesn't fit in your criteria then please let us know the conditions under which he can work on enwiki. I hope you will be positive and understand our point of view.☆★Sanjeev Kumar (talk) 18:28, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sanjeev Kumar, how did you come to conclusion that there was any "fixed strategy" behind the block? Gross incompetence was the reason, not the "notability" of Krantmlverma. If you think the block was unjust, you should start an RFC. — Bill william comptonTalk 19:39, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Bill, I didn't came to any conclusion but it looks like, because first people are promoting a guy that he can edit Literature and History both and after that he is going to be blocked (indefinitely) only because he has edited few pages about his interest. First I am trying to understand the reality of blocking. When I will understand it fully and feel that he should be unblocked than I will go to that way too (RFC).☆★Sanjeev Kumar (talk) 19:48, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sanjeev, I wasn't even aware of that thread at the Help Desk, nor does it mention Krant. I also see nothing in it that bears any particular relevance to the block. - Sitush (talk) 20:22, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I can understand, that was a talk only for few hours. Krant has mentioned many times that Shijualex has checked his all work. Any way, after looking that talk I think you should give atleast one more chance. Here you can give him suggestions and if he will not follow the rules then I shall be with you.☆★Sanjeev Kumar (talk) 21:37, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Krant has had umpteen chances and even after being blocked he continued on his merry way, using various sockpuppets. He also indicates above that he wants to continue editing the very subject area that has been the focus of all his prior problems. I think he'll have to do quite a lot of explaining to convince people that he will in future be a net positive to the project. - Sitush (talk) 01:35, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:01, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
