Non-free rationale for File:GestationStall.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:GestationStall.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 13:36, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Better source request for File:GestationStall.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:GestationStall.JPG. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 13:38, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:SmithfieldFoods.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:SmithfieldFoods.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. State Veterinarian

[edit]

I will look into this later today. Do you know if there has been any coverage of the story following the article in the Pilot? TFD (talk) 16:33, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I posted a couple other articles on the subject on the talk page, but I don't know of any others besides those. There have been other articles on the subject of gestation stalls for pregnant sows, but not about this particular video (that I know of). Thankf for your help on this, Kkirkham (talk) 13:01, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I re-wrote the section using the original sources and hope it reads better. TFD (talk) 09:20, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your work. I think it reads better, and it's always nice to use original sources. Kkirkham (talk) 15:25, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Smithfield Foods and SlimVirgin

[edit]

Oops, I added a category when I intended to add a section! BLUSH. :) To paraphrase a wise man: While I might not always agree with what you say, I shall defend to the death your right to say it! :) I'm curious to see how many Wikipedia members will support SlimVirgin....   SteveT (talk) 04:51, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi SteveT. Thanks for your support! My only intention is to ensure accuracy in the portrayal of my company on Wikipedia, and I have thus far been (overall) pleased by the openness and collaboration between the different editors on the page. I'm new to the Wiki community, so adding a new category vs. a new section makes no difference to me :) Thanks for stopping by and saying hello, Kkirkham (talk) 15:49, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
