Hänni -- qui a accompagné Itchner lors de l'umu ti à Huahine -- de retour à Paris a édité en part à 2 des tirages de son ami avant fin 1902 puis une seconde série après le 18 novembre 1903 (recto divisé) mais n'a pas pris lui-même de photographies. Il existe donc des versions "E. Hänni, éditeur" et "A. Itchner, Huahine". Cordialement

The fact was ... that when Zhu Cilang was asked why his family lost the Mandate of Heaven, he blamed it on their "treacherous ministers"? It comes from a thesis written by his descendant Marie Alohalani Brown. The sources for the August 1 date seem to be Ka Hae Hawaii and the Pacific Commercial Advertiser. I think it would be fine to include both dates given that the records is more primary than the newspapers. Honestly, a difference of one day seems a bit trivial.
