Hello, I'm Mr.weedle. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Ian Bliss, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Mr.weedle (talk) 04:28, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Jacqueline Brennan. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Mr.weedle (talk) 04:29, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there the link toward Jacquie and Ian meeting on the Silhouette set had already been added and linked.. HungryReptile (talk) 04:32, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Filmographies

[edit]

Are usually fine so long as there is an IMDb page, so thanks for adding to Tony Briggs, but please note the style guide which states that film, book, and TV series titles should be italicised. (I've added a belated welcome panel for you with some useful links.) Laterthanyouthink (talk) 08:55, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks very much. HungryReptile (talk) 13:49, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nicole da Silva, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Rush and Wentworth. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:06, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! That was accidental and my mistake. HungryReptile (talk) 06:41, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Waxworker. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Sara Wiseman, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please see WP:BURDEN Waxworker (talk) 17:11, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No that's my fault, I hadn't seen a press release yet and someone saw it via Sara's agency, but that doesn't mean much lol. That's my mistake. HungryReptile (talk) 02:08, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Laterthanyouthink (talk) 06:55, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

HI, thank you for this, I often do try but do forget and it's not on purpose but thank you for pulling me up on this!, I have updated my edit settings to inform me to remember, thanks again. HungryReptile (talk) 11:25, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Bare URLs

[edit]

Hello. Can I ask you to please stop adding bare URLs to filmography tables. Please see WP:BAREURLS for why this is less than ideal, and perhaps have a look at WP:FILMOGRAPHY too, if you haven't already. Thank you. - JuneGloom07 Talk 19:18, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, thank you and a sorry about that, I always do try and follow the filmography table set up and wasn't aware that reliable links had to go in a separate column or in the main body. I always try and make sure that when I cite a source it comes from a reliable website such as TVTonight as it is a reliable website. I have been using the manual insert method for when I do cite a source, but sometimes I don't see that it already has been sourced and that's my mistake, i'm not doing it on purpose but thank you for pulling me up on this. HungryReptile (talk) 23:19, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi - just butting in here with a suggestion of one way to easily avoid bare urls. If you use this citer tool (setting date format accordingly), it does a pretty good job of formatting most citations most of the time. They do need to be checked for errors, and occasionally the results need editing, but almost anything is better than those pesky bare urls. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 06:51, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome thank you! HungryReptile (talk) 06:59, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello HungryReptile. I wanted to drop a message about your recent edits. Why are you bolding dates in the filmography table such as you did in Sachin Joab? I can understand you wanting to improve things but it now looks rather messy. I also wanted to further question your introduction of a ref field to filmography tables. Per WP:FILMOGRAPHY it states "This is an optional field for sourcing that can to be used when a work may be obscure or difficult to confirm." - Non of those are hard to source since the edits I have seen from you. These are regarding Australian BLPs present in my watchlist.. they could easily be sourced in the main body of text? I think if you want to introduce an extra ref column, it is up to you to fully source it on the spot and not burden the rest of the community to source it.Rain the 1 23:51, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Raintheone: Just saw this, but I fixed the bolding issue in Sachin's article, the scoperows weren't formatted correctly. - JuneGloom07 Talk 02:24, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there,
I never actually bolded those dated bold year credits in the first place? They were already like that BEFORE I even got there, I attempted to fix that as they were bolded with the header cell..
I am following the filmography rules to the best of my ability, it's not my fault that when I am trying to correct it that it sometimes goes bold, the header/content cells were used the wrong way round and it ended up that way and I do attempt to fix it.
Again, not doing this on purpose I am trying and I'll keep fixing up my own mistakes and getting better at learning to source, correct and fix content/header cells etc, I am a little lost sometimes, maybe just too used to editing on fan wikis where that is how you source, but I do try and I try really hard, I guess a little too hard. HungryReptile (talk) 11:51, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Adding on as well, hoping that my last comment didn't come across as mean spirited. Just a little frustrated and overwhelmed and doing the best I can do. Because I did read it at first as something else, my mistake. HungryReptile (talk) 12:47, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The bolding occurred after you edited the article. Your explanation is totally acceptable, it was a mistake and JuneGloom07 fixed it. I just was unsure if it was intentional since the bolding was not corrected at the time. Thank you for explaining and I understand you want to improve the project. I suggest you consider carrying out edit testing in a sandbox in your user space. It really is a great way to learn and practise editing.Rain the 1 21:49, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers, and thank you for understanding, I believe everyone else is probably a bit frustrated as well, but we aren't mind readers at the same time. HungryReptile (talk) 01:08, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
