[edit]Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. Please note that we take very seriously our criteria on non-free image uploads and users who repeatedly upload or misuse non-free images may be blocked from editing. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. ΔT The only constant 12:11, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
This article, with a small change in its name, has been proposed for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/4th Halifax Highland Scout Troop Scots Highland Company. Please express you views there. --Bduke (Discussion) 10:58, 6 May 2012 (UTC)
Yea, but permission was given.
[edit]Please explain how the 4th Halifax Scout Troop and Scots Highland Company logos violate Wikipedia image use policy. BOTH images were sent to my by John K. Sutherland who sent them to me SPECIFICALLY to be used in this Wikipedia article.
If you really want to ok it with him, you can e-mail him at <redacted>. Otherwise, please reinsert the logos. You are completely unjustified in removing them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dcowiehm (talk • contribs)
Third party resolution
[edit]Please respond, or I will seek 3rd party resolution. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dcowiehm (talk • contribs)
Pointless
[edit]Please read this. You can re-upload the logos here but you must give them fair-use tags and rationales. For the photographs, you must get the photographer to release them under the GFDL, upload them to the Commons and provide evidence of permission via e-mail - see donating copyrighted materials.
I would also warn you that individual scout troops are usually deemed non-notable. Do not be surprised if your article is nominated for deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:31, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
Sure
[edit]Yes, and I wonder who would do the nominating.
