Invitation to participate in a research
[edit]Hello,
The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.
You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .
Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind Regards,

Help needed with a deleted page.
[edit]Hi Anarchyte,
I am a new editor who started editing on Wikipedia quite recently. Unfortunately, one of the pages I was editing has been deleted recently. The page belonged to an acquaintance of mine who does not understand the technicalities of editing content here on Wikipedia. Hence I was helping him out in updating details onto the page which had a lot of missing information. And now the whole page has been deleted which I am still trying to understand as to why. I created a new Wiki page for a book of his by the name "Devara Colony" and added it to the Bibliography section of the individual. The reason was not very comprehensible to me on the deletion of both these pages. While reading the reason, I was guided to a list who can help me with getting the page back on and your name was on that list too. Can you please help me with the procedure to get the deleted page back on?
Here is the link to the page that was deleted. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chandrashekar_Bandiyappa
Also please let me know what exactly went wrong with this page & what needs to be done to avoid this?
Looking forward to hearing from you as soon as I can.

- Hi AGga426. Chandrashekar Bandiyappa was deleted under WP:G11 ("unambiguous advertising or promotion"). However, I am going to restore the article and revert it to a time when it was not written in a promotional manner. I am also going to send it to Articles for Deletion so that its deletion can discussed by the community. Anarchyte (talk) 08:31, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
Text of a deleted page
[edit]Hello,
If am correct, you are listed among administrators willing to provide text of deleted pages. The page Ha Khel Sawalyancha has been deleted through AfD. The closer (@Liz) indicated in her closing statement "If an editor wants to create a Redirect from this page title, feel free to do so." I will but I would rather use the numerous sources that had been added to the page, to add them to the target page now, List of Marathi films of 1976, so could you provide me with the text of that deleted page, please? Apparently Liz has no time at the moment (User_talk:Liz#Ha_Khel_Sawalyancha deletion; User_talk:Liz#Ha_Khel_Sawalyancha), that's why I took the liberty to ask you this favour. Thank you. I still think a restoration of the history of the original page/TP would be a good idea but not sure you can do it when you provide the text (even if my intention is to make it a redirect). Thanks a lot in advance. (You can use User:Mushy Yank/Ha Khel Sawalyancha if you wish or any other address that is easy for you) (I redirected the page of the alternative spelling but the sources and content is what I would need, so as not to be forced to search, rewrite and format it all; I have no intention to recreate a standalone page). Best, -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 11:07, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
- FWIW, I had actualy another target in mind, Vasant Joglekar. Not that it matters very much. Thanks again. -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 14:37, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Mushy Yank: I have created User:Mushy Yank/Ha Khel Sawalyancha as requested. Please note that I only copied and pasted the content; I did not undelete and then move. As such, all attribution is missing and your sandbox should not be moved to mainspace. Anarchyte (talk) 10:06, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, Thanks a lot. I'll recreate the page as a Redirect then, although I still do think an undeletion was the right path (but that has nothing to do with you, just mentioning it for the record). Thanks again! -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 10:12, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
