Important Notice
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}}
on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

- Hi. Please be aware that some of your edits are disruptive. Changing numbers without sources or explanation, especially when also marking them as minor (e.g., this) or adding large chunks of unsourced information (e.g., this) can result in topic bans and/or blocks. --RegentsPark (comment) 15:50, 18 April 2022 (UTC)

[edit]If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Place the following on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Please copy my appeal to the [[WP:AE|arbitration enforcement noticeboard]] or [[WP:AN|administrators' noticeboard]]. Your reason here OR place the reason below this template. ~~~~}}
. If you intend to appeal on the arbitration enforcement noticeboard, I suggest you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template on your talk page so it can be copied over easily. You may also appeal directly to me (by email), before or instead of appealing on your talk page.
Reminder to administrators: In May 2014, ArbCom adopted the following procedure instructing administrators regarding Arbitration Enforcement blocks: "No administrator may modify a sanction placed by another administrator without: (1) the explicit prior affirmative consent of the enforcing administrator; or (2) prior affirmative agreement for the modification at (a) AE or (b) AN or (c) ARCA (see "Important notes" [in the procedure]). Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."
- Hi. I've blocked you for a week rather than either banning you from India/Pakistan articles because I don't think you care about anything other than the Marathas. When you return, please think about sourcing your edits and using the talk page to get consensus otherwise you'll end up indef blocked. --RegentsPark (comment) 01:10, 23 April 2022 (UTC)

[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on First Anglo-Maratha War. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree: 18 April 2022, 1 May 2022, 3 May 2022. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -- Toddy1 (talk) 06:52, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Toddy1. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Battle of Rakshasbhuvan, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on the article talk page. You seem to be making "patriotic" edits to articles on the history of the Marathas. We do not work that way. This is not a place to wave the flag. All material in Wikipedia must be attributable to a reliable, published source. Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 07:13, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

You were told that the edit you made at 16:26, 2 May 2022 to Mahadaji Shinde has been removed because it added copyrighted material to Wikipedia. You copied from jaivilaspalace.in/scindias-india. Now you have done it again, at 15:02, 3 May 2022. You are not allowed to do this. If you carry on, you will get blocked.-- Toddy1 (talk) 15:29, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

. RegentsPark (comment) 20:43, 3 May 2022 (UTC)- Hi. I've blocked for the following reasons: copyright violations, adding large amounts of unsourced information, adding unencyclopedic unsourced promotional content and, more than anything else, not using talk pages. The next block will likely be indef. --RegentsPark (comment) 20:46, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
I am absolutely correct Abhigyaaningle (talk) 13:58, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- That's not the point. You must learn to edit collegially, discuss your changes when reverted, to use reliable sources, and to write in an encyclopedic fashion. Otherwise, whether you are absolutely correct or not, you won't be able to edit here. --RegentsPark (comment) 15:07, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
You are right,but many things I have added are also true taken from reliable sources,but I don't know how to add those sources. Extremely sorry if my words hurt you. Abhigyaaningle (talk) 00:54, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
- When you get unblocked, you need to experiment in the sandbox with making citations.-- Toddy1 (talk) 18:45, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
Ok,thanks for your advice, will try that too. Abhigyaaningle (talk) 04:23, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Maratha Army, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.-- Toddy1 (talk) 12:28, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- Ok fine, I read in a book that at its peak the Marathas had an army of about 2,00,000, in the First Anglo-Maratha War article, its written that there force was 143,000, so we can conclude it being 200,000 before the Panipat battle. Abhigyaaningle (talk) 13:31, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
Please do not alter cited content on various pages without reliable references. You have already been warned and yet even after expiry of your block, you continue to do so. You could get blocked again if you continue to cause disruption.MehmoodS (talk) 15:27, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Abhigyaaningle:. (1) Articles may not contain any new analysis or synthesis of published material that serves to reach or imply a conclusion not clearly stated by the sources themselves (see Wikipedia:No original research). (2) If you are adding material, you need to cite the sources you are using. Readers must be able to check that any of the information within Wikipedia articles is not just made up. This means all material must be attributable to reliable, published sources. Additionally, quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be supported by inline citations. (See Wikipedia:Verifiability.)-- Toddy1 (talk) 20:46, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Third Battle of Panipat. Favonian (talk) 14:58, 22 May 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm MehmoodS. I noticed that in this edit to Shivaji, you removed content which was supported by the citation. If this was a mistake, no worries as the change has been restored. It would be helpful to others if you describe your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. Thank you. MehmoodS (talk) 14:27, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Mughal–Maratha Wars. You substituted a hoax map File:Maratha Empire.jpg for a genuine map File:India1760 1905.jpg. (The hoax map was uploaded in commons by Shan 052705.) Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. Thank you.-- Toddy1 (talk) 14:52, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Third Battle of Panipat deleted a paragraph but did not have an edit summary. That is not OK. That kind of edit needs an edit summary field to explain your reasoning, or provide a description of what you had done (preferably both). Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! -- Toddy1 (talk) 15:58, 22 July 2022 (UTC)

Battle of Bhor Ghat moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Battle of Bhor Ghat, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your draft article, Draft:Battle of Bhor Ghat
[edit]Hello, Abhigyaaningle. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Battle of Bhor Ghat".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
