Shuan White

[edit]

What was your rationale for removing the multiplesports category from the Shaun White category?--Esprit15d (talk ¤ contribs) 14:51, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Forget it, I see that you added it to his article page - cool.--Esprit15d (talk ¤ contribs) 14:52, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Wow, you are quick. The "Shaun White Category" wasn't what should be in the "athlete" category, but rather his personal page. --Mtjaws 14:54, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimania in Atlanta!

[edit]

Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!

P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 09:06, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Editing userboxes

[edit]

It's easy to edit a userbox. Just click here, and in the section that reads "| info =", find the word "bookeeping" (sic) and correct it. I'm letting you do it so you know how it works. Also, thanks for the compliment. If you have any userbox ideas of your own, let me know. I'll help you design and build them. - Mtmelendez (Talk|UB|Home) 03:13, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.....

[edit]

Ok thanks. I thought it was someone else just messing with me lol. Ill try to put it in my own words. The only problem with that is that after I edit in my own biography of Sevendust, someone else will edit it. Is there anything that can be done to keep that from happening? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Crueddude (talkcontribs) 07:58, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably just keep them both up to date until the AFD on the gamelog articles are done. --Rabbethan 22:15, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mtjaws, thanks for the cleanup of the July section. I do not have enough practice in English to write a flawless article. But I knew you would help me out and take care of the necessary improvements. Thanks a lot --Goodgirl (talk) 22:48, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seven Mary Three

[edit]

Thank you. I've notice you've made some great refinements to the articles I started. I definitely want to clean up the main 7M3 band article more so it isn't plagued with tags of low quality. I would consider writing one or two more song articles, but I don't think I've heard any other 7M3 singles besides "My, My." Other than "Cumbersome," "Water's Edge," and "Wait," most of them don't seem to still be played on radio unless I've just never recognized them. I've liked them for several years and recently got American Standard in the $1 bin at a CD store - might get a few others if I hear enough good songs. I have yet to see 7M3 live but would be up for it. Cale (talk) 17:42, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RE: BMG Theatre.jpg

[edit]

Apologies. Yes, I also agree that the image is overstretched, and the reason for which I have re-added it is that universal ride infoboxes can accomodate both logos and an image of the attraction. I wil try to look for a fair sized image of the logo. Thanks.--Snowman Guy (talk) 15:04, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Awards tables

[edit]

My pleasure. I was so annoyed when I saw that pop up on the WP:FILM talk page, and then I realized it was done by someone who had previously gone through and moved a large number of foreign films to his own personal translation of the title. Some of it was done under the registered name and some under the IP. There were a handful of pages that were tabled before this, and I didn't touch those, and really didn't want to (I think there were two, one was an Academy Award page). He also created a plethora of "List of..." winners and nominees, covering French Academy Award winners, etc. that were begun as tables, but used that over busy table style and also flags to some pages. It was close to being overwhelming when I looked at the contributions pages. Regards, Wildhartlivie (talk) 22:55, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Live (band)

[edit]

Thanks for the help with the copy editing of the Live page. If I live to be 100 I won't spell received correctly! Just 1 query, what is the wiki policy on comma's within quotes? Is it "comma," or "comma", - frankly both look a bit clunky on screen. Regards Iangurteen (talk) 06:45, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Live is one of my favorite bands of all-time, so I keep an eye on the page. For "receive", I always think of the E sound, so remember that the E goes first. Much easier that way! And as for the commas/punct and quotes, I never liked them inside, unless it was part of the actual song title/quote/other. My reason is that the punctuation isn't part of the quoted part. And italics is similar where you don't want to include the ending punctuation in the previous formatting. And Wiki seems to agree in the various sections of the Manual of Style page. Definitely worth reading. I didn't purposely revert anything you changed just to have it "the other way", but do think the changes make things both look better and easier to understand. Thanks for asking about it though. --Mtjaws (talk) 07:53, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

PGA National and the PGA Championship

[edit]

PGA National has hosted the 1983 Ryder Cup and 1987 PGA Championship. It did not host the 1971 PGA Championship. That tournament was played on a course that's now known as Ballenisles.- William 21:35, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I know I rearranged The Honda Classic article, including that sentence, but it wasn't me that originally added that information. Thanks for correcting it though. --Mtjaws (talk) 22:17, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:7Mary3 Churn cover.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 14:34, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I see you uploaded a newer version of the cover, but then saw it was tagged by a bot for being too high a resolution. I guess you know what is happening because I don't. I never like to see anything deleted, but a nicer copy is better than no copy. Check out the album if you've never heard it! Mtjaws (talk) 02:52, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
