Introduction

Shartis Musherure Kuteesa is an upcoming Uganda politician and the MP elect for Mawogola North Constituency. Mawogola North is located in the Semababule District (Central Uganda). Her political victory followed a highly contested race between her and President Yoweri Museveni's brother[1] who opted out of the race citing family pressure.

She is a daughter to the Sam Kutesa, a veteran politician with strong ties to the ruling National Resistance Movement.

Education

Shartis has a degree in Law from Cornell University in New York.

Shartis made a mark as the Managing Director of Mbabule FM 101.1.[2]
