Sebastian Mego (born October 15, 1989)^[1] is an American R&B and Soul singer.

Mego's music career started in December 2005 when he was discovered by then Columbia Records president Steve Greenberg. After hearing Mego the young singer in his office, Greenberg singed him on the spot. Greenberg departed from Columbia two months later and Sebastian was placed under the Sony Urban label. Over a six month period, Mego recorded over 50 songs and co-wrote 36 of those songs, 14 of which were selected and set to appear on his debut album.^[2] However, following more turmoil at Sony, the Urban label was dissolved and Sebastian was released from in April 2007.

In July 2008, Mego signed another deal with Siri Music Group, a division of Universal Motown Republic.^[3] His debut album was set to be released in the Spring of 2010, but Mego and Siri soon parted ways. In May 2012, Mego released his debut single, "Victim of Love" as a free download on SoundCloud.

Mego's most significant influences are Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder; others include The Temptations, Jackie Wilson, Aretha Franklin and Sam Cooke.^[4]

In 2007, Mego performed the song, "Where Do I Go From Here" for the soundtrack for the Disney Channel Original Movie, Jump In! starring Corbin Bleu and Keke Palmer. He has performed with one of his idles, Stevie Wonder on his House Full of Toys Concert and also appears on two tracks from Wonder's most recent project, "My Love is On Fire" and the title track "A Time to Love". Mego was also featured on rapper Freddie Gibbs's "So Amazin" from the mixtape, Cold Day In Hell. He has also performed the National Anthem at LA Lakers game. Mego also lent his voice to TVOne, where his music was featured on promotional spots for the Martin Luther King miniseries. He also appeared on Star Search and has appeared in several national TV commercials.^[2]

Mego has worked with legendary vocal coach, Seth Riggs and is currently studying under his daughter, Rachel Riggs.^[2]
