Welcome

Welcome to my page. Please feel free to leave a message.

My name is Jeffrey, and I have been editing here on Wikipedia since December 2010.

Things I do here

[edit]

I generally work on articles about collecting, collectables, collections, and collectors. I spend a lot of time updating information on prizes and premiums from food, snack, and drink products; and adding information and editing articles on licensed products, such as licensed merchandise and toys from television, film, video game, fiction, and comic book properties. I am also interested in articles on snack and soft drink products and their producers, advertising, and marketing. Having been an English major in college, I also like personal communication and language topics. As a four-year resident of Peru, I have picked up enough Spanish to start translating Spanish language articles that are of interest to me into English.

My story

[edit]

I am a collector of promotional items (prizes and premiums) from soft drink, snack, and food products including commemorative labels, pin-back buttons, stickers, tattoos, tazos, small injection molded plastic toys, and trading cards. The items I collect come from various sources like cereal boxes, Cracker Jack packages, bags of Frito-Lay brand chips, bubble gum wrappers, and soft drink labels. These are the things that interest me, along with other collectables, and other retail and marketing related topics. Most of my contributions to Wikipedia fall within these areas — or any other area that I stumble upon in my daily reading that interests me.

I live with my wife Meche and her daughter Irina in Tarapoto, a trade center in the foothills of the Andes Mountains in the high jungle plateau of the Amazon Rainforest of Peru, where we sell soft drinks and snacks in our two stores. I am originally from the United States (Tulsa, Oklahoma); am a native speaker of English; and also understand (still learning to speak) Spanish.
