Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on May 23, 2010.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that the reed beds of Minsmere RSPB reserve, one of the UK's premier birdwatching sites, were established as a result of anti-invasion measures during World War II?

Name of page

[edit]

The name of the reserve used here is different to that used on commons. Is it "RSPB Minsmere", "Minsmere RSPB reserve", or something else? Snowman (talk) 20:52, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

– I am looking to arrange consistency. The Commons category is RSPB Minsmere. Opening sentence is "Minsmere RSPB reserve is a nature reserve..." - therefore no need to add 'reserve' in article title. Referred to as RSPB Minsmere by the RSPB (Twitter, Facebook) and press (EADT). SuzannaQ (talk) 12:52, 9 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed FAC

[edit]

I'm planning to improve this To FA status, and in the course of doing so I'll rearrange it to be consistent in style with existing FAs, Titchwell Marsh and Cley Marshes Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:34, 19 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sarastro1 many thanks for promoting the article and for your comments about WP:ALT. Per the archive instructions, I have not commented there. But you are quite right, of course, and I'm sorry we didn't pick this up before. I've had a go now and hope it is OK - it's certainly 100% better than nothing, anyway!
