Ccde56 - gentle nudge, lots of rich material on searching PubMed, especialy if qualify search term with "review" or something similar to home-in on general overviews (rather than esoteric specific paper). Quite a lot of hits though are for the specific condition of osteochondritis dissecans; given your classmate is currently working on that article, should there be a cross link somewhere to that page ?
On quick search, PMID 17606505 looked promising - follow link to full article that gives historical overview of the term (always difficult material to source for medical artickle) and then an overview of the conditions. Let me know if you need any help in understanding the material (I'm "only" a GP myself, not an orthopaedic expert) or with wikipedia markup :-) David Ruben Talk 22:31, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
