  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
  • I would remove the National Highway System sentence because there is no way to tell from the NHS reference that the highway is not part of the NHS. Personally, I only mention NHS if a highway is included in it, because otherwise you are trying to prove a negative.
  • Is it possible to link directly to the straight-line diagram document for OH 319 instead of linking to the general SLD website?
  • According to the SLD, the western terminus is not at Washington Street but at an abandoned railroad grade just to the west. I would explain this in the Route description and change the wording in the Lead from "at Washington Street" to something like "just west of Washington Street." You may want to also change the entry in the Major intersections list to reflect this, but it is not a sticking point for me since any solution could be awkward.
  • In the Route description, be sure to mention Mercer County is to the north and Darke is to the south. Also mention which counties each of the townships is in. I would also add a sentence just above the Major intersections table explaining the highway follows the county line. According to the SLD, OH 319 is counted as being in Darke County. If this categorization has any significance, you should mention it; otherwise, since both counties are in ODOT District 7, it is unnecessary.
  • At the beginning of the article, you include SR 319 and OH 319 in parentheses, but outside of the infobox and Major intersections table, those abbreviations are not used. I would replace State Route X with either SR X or OH X everywhere after the first use. To avoid starting every sentence with the abbreviated name, sprinkle in references to "the state highway" or similar phrases to break the monotony.
  • Much of the second paragraph talks about the highway's current state. Much of that information is redundant with the first paragraph. There are two sentences about the history that are spread out. I would put the two history sentences next to each other and give a year or range like "late 1930s" for the truncation. The sixth sentence can be moved to the Route description. The second and third sentences can be removed.
  • There are a few grammar errors in the prose. I will copy edit the article later to get rid of those.

I am putting this article on hold for you to make the necessary changes.  V 09:52, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I hope I have adequately addressed most of the comments that have been made in the review. The one item I wanted to note was the statement about OH 319 not being included within the National Highway System (NHS). I feel that there should be a consistency among all articles to be done for Ohio's state highways about whether a route is included within it or not. It is my intention to include it for all of the highway articles for Ohio, for that very reason. This is why I feel it is worthwhile to include this statement in the RD.
