A Sports minister is merely the person at the head of a Ministry of Sports. These articles should be merged to reflect this. bd2412 T 03:29, 25 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

• Oppose. Sports Minister is a term that is often used even when the Minister has other interests in their portfolio. Likewise the Ministry or department might have a combination of other functions.
