GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
"; he died in 2004 at the age of 88." - should be separated as it may also mean that his son died at the age of 88 in 2004 (even if that is nonsense), and secondly the phrase has no connection to the other phrase
    Link Netherlands, Jewish, Amsterdam
"His father was Leon van Gelder was a commercial traveller," - His father, Leon van ... was..."
"moved out of Amsterdam and into the village of Bilthoven.[3]" - Perhaps, "moved out of Amsterdam to Bilthoven" as a bit sloppy
"and mentioned it to a friend, " - it ;)?
"before joining the Johnny Fresno Band the house band at the Ostend Casino.[13]" - before joining the house band ...
Do you know why they divorced?
    Died of natural death?
    Overall very good prose
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
    No FUR for File:Goons.jpeg
  7. Overall: Hold
    Pass/Fail:
Many thanks for this GOP. I think I've covered all your points, but please let me know if there is anything I've missed. Cheers - SchroCat (^@) 15:14, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. No other issues discovered, so pass. Regards.--Kürbis () 15:42, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong photo?

[edit]

When you look at this page on the iOS mobile app, and when you type Max Geldray into the main desktop site, the picture that comes up is the on of Django Reinhart, not the one of Max. 92.236.195.223 (talk) 23:07, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stepfather ?

[edit]

How could Geldray have a step-father if both parents had died during WWII ? Is it rather his father-in-law that he looked after? 59.167.234.198 (talk) 09:28, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Goon with the Wind

[edit]

is the title of Geldray's autobiography (not mentioned in the article), but the article says it's the title of his album - is it both ? Darkman101 (talk) 22:31, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
