Middle name discrepancy
[edit]What's Marcus' middle name? ESPN and MLB list it as "Markey" while Baseball Reference lists it as "Markley". — X96lee15 (talk) 18:55, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Pronunciation
[edit]Is there a citation for his name being pronounced 'TIMMS'? Mario and Rod say 'TEMMS'. --Elliskev 01:16, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- ESPN says, "timms" — X96lee15 (talk) 01:21, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- Ahh. OK. I see it now. I checked the link, but missed it before. Thanks. --Elliskev 01:30, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Yankees?
[edit]Did they really sign him to a minor league deal? I remember reading the George King report on it, but there is absolutely nothing anywhere else to indicate they did. There are no transactions listed on yankees.com or mlb.com, and he is not listed on any of the Yankees' minor league rosters. Kjscotte34 (talk) 12:31, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- The sources seem to indicate they signed him.. it says he was going to work out at the spring training complex before being assigned to AAA...nothing since then.. maybe he is still there? Spanneraol (talk) 13:52, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- I read that too. The only problem is, MLB lists him as a free agent. There was never an official release by the team and nothing in the transactions. It's weird...should we list him as a free agent here, but make a section saying he would be signing. I hate to do that because then WP:CRYSTAL becomes an issue. Why is he a baseball
[edit]I get that this Wikipedia article has probably been viewed like 6 times in total, but why the fuck is he listed as a "baseball"? Might wanna change that. Or not, it's honestly pretty funny. 2600:6C44:7027:100:3156:5E8F:2436:2416 (talk) 08:33, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
