Additional Early History

[edit]

Would like to add something to indicate that their first show was on July 7, 2007, at the California Institute of Abnormal Arts, a clown museum.[1] This information is from their interview on the Graham Norton Show,[2] shortly before the release of their "Something to Tell You" album in July of 2017.

I'll let someone else come up with the wording and positioning in the article.-Rubiks6 (talk) 17:50, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Performance for the 2021 Grammy Awards

[edit]

Should it be added that they performed on the 2021 Grammy Awards? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 00:18, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Split out Alana Haim?

[edit]

Currently, Alana Haim redirects to this article, but as she is one of the lead actors in the upcoming film, Licorice Pizza, she should probably get her own article, separate from the band. Orayzio (talk) 20:45, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Style; Lack of Citation; Opinion; Obfuscation;

[edit]

In support of and as noted by Ritchie333(talk) this page does not adhere to good article criteria in either form or substance:

  • Although we know from citation the band considers their name to be styled HAIM specifically in ALL CAPS, as cited on Apple Music [3]; Amazon Music [4]; and Spotify [5]; and should be corrected;
  • Introduction citations from body should be referenced for Producer / Label-Signing references and many other claims made in the Introduction which I will systematically enumerate if my concerns gain traction;
  • The entire historical summary in the Introduction lacks citation or objectivity;
  • Apparent opinion of HAIM′s 'sound' in the first paragraph of Introduction i.e. lack of citation;
  • In the Critical Reception section there is a cyclic reference to the Awards section — this is improper as awards panelists are often industry personæ, and not critics or even critically-purposed individuals; e.g. unfit content for this section as it implies potential obfuscation of cited critics.
