Book not used for citations

[edit]

A comment regarding this book:

  • Huß, Jürgen; Viohl, Armin (2003). Die Ritterkreuzträger des Eisernen Kreuzes der preußischen Provinz Schleswig-Holstein und der Freien und Hansestadt Lübeck 1939–1945 (in German). Zweibrücken, Germany: VDM Heinz Nickel. ISBN 978-3-925480-79-9. {{cite book}}: Unknown parameter |trans_title= ignored (|trans-title= suggested) (help)

According to De Wikipedia, VDM Heinz Nickel, the publisher of this book, produces militaristic works of right-wing leanings, so I assume the work is not a scholarly treatment of the subject. I'd like to remove this book from Bibliography given that it's not used for citations. Please let me know if there are any objections. K.e.coffman (talk) 08:12, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Clearly notable

[edit]

This article could use expansion, but the subject is clearly notable. He was the diesel chief on the U-96 and chronicled in both the film and the movie "Das Boot", upon which a major and well known cinema character "Johan the Ghost" was portrayed. Johannsen was also one of the very few engineering officers to have received the Knight's Cross. He is mentioned in at least four textbooks on naval history that I know of. Therefore, the notability tag is not warranted. If there are strong feelings about this, maybe take to AfD and request a merge with the U-96 article. -O.R.Comms 23:28, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
