apparently either a chinese(?) subsidiary of roblox (found nothing on its relation with luobulesi, which is mentioned in the article), a name found in a bunch of purchasable 3d models, a chinese app related to roblox (maybe a port?), an abbreviation of luobulesi, or all of them. not the biggest robloxhead out there, but this really doesn't seem notable on its own cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 18:47, 7 August 2024 (UTC)

Assassination service redirect towards a general page where it is not discussed (at this time). The only mention of this topic at Cthulhu (disambiguation) is a redirect which points to the unmentioned location. Utopes (talk / cont) 17:31, 7 August 2024 (UTC)

The C'thulhu group is mentioned in passing in one of the sources cited at Assassination market, but I can't see any value in expanding at the target on what seems to be a non-notable group, even if it still exists and isn't a hoax. - Template:I → Template:Indent (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Delete: Ambiguous, opaque template shortcut. Barely used and very likely to cause confusion. I just replaced or removed the template in all 14 articles it was transcluded in, and only one of them was using it correctly. There were several instances of it being used in refs copied from French Wikipedia where {{I}} is used to insert the Roman numeral I, and two instances where it was accidentally used instead of {{!}}. Considering its current output is whitespace, it would be much more obvious to spot mistakes if it was instead redlinked. Mclay1 (talk) 15:26, 7 August 2024 (UTC)

- Elongated tetragonal disphenoid → Gyrobifastigium#Related figures (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Listing at Redirects for discussion on behalf of Dedhert.Jr, who initially erroneously listed it at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Elongated_tetragonal_disphenoid.
Reason given by Dedhert.Jr there: The article "elongated tetragonal disphenoid" once became the redirected article of gyrobifastigium, allegedly known as its dual polyhedron. No source ever mentioned it in either Google Books or Google Scholars, especially about its dual. Felix QW (talk) 08:23, 7 August 2024 (UTC)

Not mentioned in the target article. The subject is present in several Zelda titles, so it is unclear which titles should have precedence over another. The only other location which is the subject of this redirect as mentioned is at List of fictional witches, but that is probably not an appropriate retargeting option. I think this is an unlikely misspelling. I hope I'm not wasting people's time instead of just R3ing, but I figured I should probably err on the side of the caution. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 04:11, 31 July 2024 (UTC)

- Surprised by below claims that this typo is implausible (it's just a simple transposition), so I'll elaborate here to not appear like a cop-out reasoning. I don't feel very strongly about this either way, but with stuff like this my logic is that someone made it, so they likely thought it was useful (see WP:RFD#KEEP #5 -
Someone finds them useful. Hint: If someone says they find a redirect useful, they probably do.
). I don't think deleting it is useful. If someone searches "Vemront", the deleters here are saying that Wikipedia should just shrug it's shoulders and say "nope, no idea what you mean by that". Would I have created this redirect? No. Would I delete it after someone else has made it? Also no. I don't think slippery slope pandora's box arguments are very persuasive (see this essay). Nobody gains anything from deleting it - there's not a competing place for this redirect to target, and there's no confusion about where they are intending to go to. Wikipedia is not better from deleting it, we should give this redirect (and ones like it) little thought, keep and move on. I don't think saying "redirects are cheap" should be controversial, because they are cheap, and so deleting stuff like "Vemront" → "Vermont" isn't particularly productive BugGhost🦗👻 20:18, 31 July 2024 (UTC)

- Keep - I tend to agree with BugGhost. Indeed, I created the redirect after having accidentally transposed the letters while typing quickly,
- Were it likely to direct a user to the wrong page (where Vemront was plausibly related to a page unrelated to Vermont), I would feel differently. But I am unaware of such a similarly named page.
- But my feelings aren't particularly strong on the matter and, with reasonable counter-arguments, it wouldn't be all that difficult to persuade me otherwise.
- Trackerwannabe (talk) 16:25, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
Changing my opinion to a Weak Keep. There is an author by the name of Ann Vremont and (what appears to be) a real estate agency named Vremont.- It turns out that Vremont is a misspelling of Vemront (which, in its turn, is a mistyping of Vermont.) Sadly, I seem to be an expert in typos. :-/
- Trackerwannabe (talk) 11:37, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
- Speedy delete WP:R3, unlikely typo. Also per WP:PANDORA, the number of possible redirects from simple transpositions probably pushes well over 100 million. What makes this one so special? 35.139.154.158 (talk) 16:53, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
I don't know how special this makes it, but the E and R keys are adjacent to each other on the QUERTY keyboard, which may have contributed to my mistyping it. I imagine that restricting such transpositions to adjacent keys would significantly reduce the estimate of resulting redirects. Restricting them to common two-letter combinations (of which this is one) would likely lower the estimate even further.- That rationale would have made sense were we talking about "Vremont" → "Vermont, but we're discussing "Vemront" → "Vermont."
- Trackerwannabe (talk) 11:50, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
- Delete. Created about two weeks ago, unlikely misspelling, should be {{Db-r3}} eligible if its deletion wasn't controversial. Also, citing WP:CHEAP is starting to turn into a cop-out from actually explaining why something should be kept, and is beginning to become as controversial as citing WP:PANDORA. (Sorry IP above me!) Steel1943 (talk) 17:34, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
- I would distinguish between misspelled words and mistyped words. (Though I grant that there is a degree of overlap between the two.) As Wikipedia is often searched by typing, I would posit that having redirects for commonly mistyped words is useful. Unfortunately, I know of no way of determining how likely a specific mistyping of word is likely occur.
- Trackerwannabe (talk) 18:28, 31 July 2024 (UTC)
- I wanted to be on the safe side now that I have buttons 😅 I did feel confident enough to delete a similar redirect outright (List of amphibians of Vemront). Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 01:47, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
- Delete as implausable, Google search in quotes returns a bit for the state but some of the results may not be an it doesn't seem to indicate its likely. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:07, 31 July 2024 (UTC)

- Keep. Harmless and relatively common, including on at least two official websites [1], [2]. [BMP_Board_Actions_Bertocci_Stipulation_12052018] shows it's also a plausible OCR error. Thryduulf (talk) 12:43, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- Glad to see I'm not alone in my propensity for typos. :)
- Did you mean this as your example of a likely OCR error? I can't tell if it's an OCR error, or if it was in the original document. Trackerwannabe (talk) 15:44, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- I do indeed mean that, not sure why the full URI didn't copy. I think it's the OCR, as the same document also OCRs the same word as "Vemont", "Vennont", "VenmoJ", "Vcrmont", "Verrnont" and "Voront"; "Vermont," as "Votmong" and "virmong"; and "VERMONT" as "IfERMONT" (it does also get it right of course), most of which are completely implausible spelling/typographical errors. Thryduulf (talk) 17:05, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- Keep: Letter transposition is one of my own more common kinds of typos, especially when two different hands are used for the two letters. And redirects are cheap and there's no other plausible target to created confusion. — BarrelProof (talk) 18:40, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- Transpositional errors are a prime PANDORA case (Evrmont, Vremont, etc., where does it end?), but here we have evidence of this error occurring in places that someone could plausibly search the term—recalling that 60% of our readers come from outside the U.S. and may have never heard of Vermont, so keep, but do not read this as endorsing a precedent that any such transpositional error is a valid redirect. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe) 20:08, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
