Contested PROD. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate hub of trivial statistics; see WP:NOTSTATS. Jalen Folf (talk) 17:45, 11 October 2022 (UTC)

- Redirect to History of the FIFA World Cup, where this kind of information can be covered in prose. GiantSnowman 17:53, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
- Redirect to History of the FIFA World Cup. This current article violates WP:NOTSTATS and WP:TRIVIA, as it's not useful to know what lettered group every team has been in- as the group letters are random and as such being e.g. in group B in 2 World Cups has very little outcome on the event itself. Joseph2302 (talk) 08:00, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- Redirect or just flat out delete. The fact that, for example, Sweden have been drawn in Group C five times is utterly trivial and of no significance whatsoever -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 08:59, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- Redirect per above, perhaps to the section "Evolution of the format". This article violates WP:NOTSTATS/WP:INDISCRIMINATE; I think this particular term is used widely enough to justify a redirect (though would not oppose straight deletion), and though I'm unsure where pertinent information is found in the target, that's a problem beyond the scope of this AfD.
