Sangar (Persian: سنگر)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Sangar District of Rasht County, Gilan province, Iran.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 6,388 in 1,834 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 10,154 people in 3,231 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 12,583 people in 4,288 households.[2]
