According to Guinness World Records, with 56.7 million views on the first day of release, Blackpink's "Kill This Love" (2019) broke the three records for the most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours, the most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours, and the most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group.[264] They had a fleeting grasp of the three record titles for just over a week before being surpassed by BTS's "Boy with Luv" (2019).[273] As such, while the awarding body acknowledged the brief retaining period, the video was never certified as an official world record holder.[274]
