Details

[edit]

The Kansas City Public Library VISTA Project will be holding our MLK Day of Service virtually this year by hosting a Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon. We invite the public to help us create and edit Wikipedia pages for local, historic black leaders in activism, politics, arts, and culture.

No Wikipedia experience necessary; training session is virtual at 6pm. To participate you don’t need specialized knowledge of these topics or of Wikipedia. Please create a free user account on wikipedia.org before the event if you are able. There will be plenty of reference material and a limited number of laptops available.
