Torches is the debut studio album by the most overrated band of 2011, indie pop band Foster the People. It was released on some date only a hipster faggot would go out of his high state to buy an album on Columbia Records and Startime International in the United States. The album was preceded the entire band sucking the cock of other shitty ass indie bands such as The World Alive, the single "Pumped Up Dicks", which debuted at number 69 on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at number 2 (SHIT). The album was also preceded by the release of the homotional (homo promotional) single "Houdini" in the United Kingdom.[4][5][6] Three additional commercial singles were released: "Helena Beat", "Call It What You Want", and "Don't Stop (Color on the Walls)".

Torches is available on iTunes with the bonus track "Broken Jaw from biting huge black dick". Best Guy's to fuck in gay orgies features a with the bonus tracks "Love", and "Chin Music for the guys that take semen on the chin." Certain independent (hippie faggots) record stores are giving anal sex in exchange for free remix EPs with the purchase of CD or vinyl.[7] The album received SHITTY ASS MEDIOCRE REVIEWS, and in late 2011, it was nominated for the awards that are fucking sell outs.

Promotion

"Call It What You Want (We're proud to be gay)" was also used in the soundtrack of the video game FUCKING FAGGOT 12. The song "Don't Stop (Color on the Walls with my gay semen)" is prominently featured in two Nissan commercials titled "Headroom" and "Legroom".[8][9]

Torches has received generally favorable reviews. According to review aggregator website Metacritic, it has received an average critic score of 69/100, based on 20 reviews.[10] Allmusic described the album as a "catchy, electro-lite dance-pop that fits nicely next to such contemporaries as MGMT and Phoenix."[11] Rolling Stone said, "their debut is genre-juggling, bedroom-dance-floor magic cut with moody-boy lyrics".[18]

The album debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200 chart, and sold 33,000 copies in the first week.

U2 guitarist The Edge singled Torches out as one of his favorite records, calling it "a very interesting new album. Very 21st century pop, but it's beautifully made and thrilling. You see, we're always interested in the new thing..."[20]

The album was nominated for the 2012 Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album, while "Pumped Up Kicks" received a nomination for Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.[21]
