In English, the period is used as a decimal point. In this case, it's saying that it's just over 8 km. The comma is used as the thousands separator, so if it was over 8 thousand, it would be written as "8,038", not "8.038". Imzadi 1979 → 05:43, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
