John Patrick O'Neill (b. 11 March 1958, Derry) is a former footballer who played for Northern Ireland, winning 39 caps, and scoring 2 goals.

At club level, he played for Leicester City, QPR, and Norwich City. He made just one appearance for Norwich - against Wimbledon FC in 1987 - in which he sustained the knee injury that ended his career. He was granted a testimonial in the 1988-89 season.

After his playing career ended, O'Neill had a spell managing Finn Harps of the League of Ireland. He later moved back to his home city and became a member of the board of Derry City FC for a period.
