Plot

Happy Mehra is a free spirited girl hailing from a middle class family who lives with her mother Sandhya Mehra, younger sister Smiley Mehra, her aunt and uncle who constantly taunt them and her cousins.

On the other hand, two rich brothers Chintu Khosla and Rocky Khosla are exact opposites. Chintu is a kind-hearted man who falls in love with Happy at first sight whilst Rocky is an arrogant goon and a playboy. They live with their father Kulwant Khosla, mother Madhu Khosla, grandmother Mrs Khosla, aunt, uncle and two younger sisters Simmi and Guggi. Rocky and Happy despise each other as Happy gets Rocky arrested and in return he smashes her uncle's car which she and her cousins used to take out at night without informing her uncle.

Meanwhile, Happy’s elder cousin, Dinky Mehra is set to get married to Chintu and Rocky’s cousin, Daddu. Happy and Chintu become friends while Rocky and Happy constantly get into fights. Chintu accidentally drinks and confesses his love for Happy which shocks her. Kulwant learns of Chintu’s love for Happy and tells Sandhya he wants Chintu and Happy to marry. Happy refuses as she doesn’t want to marry. Meanwhile, Mr Bhatia, who is a friend of Happy's father, a companion of Rocky and also Saniya’s father, arrives at the Mehra household and humiliates Sandhya saying she was involved in dangerous business and that she sent Happy to do the same. Happy and Sandhya are humiliated and her uncle throws them out of their home as he doesn’t believe them. Rocky comes reveals to Happy that this was all his plan. Chintu overhears this and disowns Rocky saying he is ashamed to call him his brother. Chintu asks for forgiveness from Happy and Sandhya but Madhu tells him she will only forgive him if he marries Happy. Happy has no choice but to accept and her and Chintu are finally married. However, Chintu dies in an accident leaving the whole family and Happy shattered as she had started to form a friendship with Chintu. Kulwant blames Rocky and throws him out the house.

Rocky decides to follow his brothers footsteps and sets up a hotel to fulfill Chintu’s dream. Happy joins him as she wants to fulfill Chintu's dream as well. Through a series of events, Rocky and Happy begin to see the good side of each other. Thus, they slowly start bonding and become friends.

Amidst this, Ranvijay Shroff enters; a dapper and famous lawyer who fights for the righteousness and goodwill of the society. Happy and Rocky get successful in establishing a hotel with Mr.Grover’s help who is Ananya’s father. Anaya and Ranvijay have been in a relationship for seven years but Ranvijay starts falling for Happy. Ranvijay’s brother, Ranveer, kidnaps Smiley, Happy’s sister, but fails in his plan due to Rocky coming over to save Smiley. Due to a series of events, Rocky is accused of kidnapping and molesting Smiley and is sentenced to jail for ten years.
