Converge (BGC) has origins in Pietistic Lutheranism (a.k.a. Pietism) but after shedding off a lot of Lutheran practices and eventually evolving into a Baptists denomination, it became a Radical Pietist denomination like the Evangelical Free Church in American (EFCA) and the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC).
