Classroom Performance Systems (CPS) is a technological way to assess students. The instructor is able to ask objective and subjective questions to each student. The questions come from a computer bank, and are displayed for each student to view. Each student can answer their test questions at their own pace and respond with a remote control devices. A radio or infrared transmitter picks up the students response and applies it to the appropriate remote control device that answered the question. The responses are tallied by a computer and provide detailed reports. This wireless system allows instructors to obtain immediate feedback from each individual student. The system keeps a log of every created class session, so the student records are always available.
