Blue Harbor Resort and Spa is a resort, water park and conference center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The resort opened in June 2004 after being built by Great Wolf Resorts.[1][2][3]

Facilities

The site includes a four slide, 54,000 square feet (5,000 m2) indoor water park named Breaker Bay.[4] Resort guests and the general public are able to purchase day passes. The 29,000 square feet (2,700 m2) conference center contains fine dining and casual dining establishments. The resort also provides access to The Bull golf course and shopping along the harbor[5] The resort has 64 villas.[6]

Development

Blue Harbor Resort is located on Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Sheboygan River, on the C. Reiss Coal Peninsula. The peninsula had formerly been used for coal storage. The site was developed into the Blue Harbor Resort by Madison-based Great Wolf Resorts, and the 182-room resort opened in 2004.

In 2011 Great Wolf Resorts announced the sale of the resort to Claremont New Frontier Resort LLC, a joint venture, for $4.2 million. [7]

Property

Blue Harbor is a full service resort that offers many different amenities to their guests. There are multiple full service restaurants on property. The Beacon restaurant in the lobby serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Shoreline Café offers Starbucks coffee and various breakfast items and ice cream, while the Rocky Bottom Snack Bar in the waterpark serves different snack items as well as smoothies.

While the crown jewel of the property is the Breaker Bay Waterpark, the resort also offers the unique Lost Temples Miniature Golf Course. This is an 18 hole, glow in the dark course located on the second floor in the waterpark. Though not included for guests, it does offer hours of entertaining fun for the whole family to enjoy.
