The North Central Caucasian languages (also Nakh languages or Vaynakh languages) are a family of languages spoken mostly in Russia (Chechnya and Ingushetia) and Georgia. Chechen diaspora is spread all over the muslim countries in Middle East and Central Asia.

  • Chechen appr. 950 000 speakers
  • Ingush appr. 230 000 speakers
  • Batsi or Batsbi appr. 2 500 speakers, spoken mostly in Zemo-Alvani, Georgia. Not intelligible with Chechen or Ingush
