On 14 August 2018, three people were injured when a silver Ford Fiesta crashed outside the Palace of Westminster.[1][2] Metropolitan Police Service responded within minutes. The Counter Terrorism Command said that the incident was being treated as a terrorist incident. The driver of the vehicle involved has been arrested and the Assistant Commissioner leading the investigation said that the suspect is refusing to cooperate with the police investigation.[1]
Events
The attack occurred at 7:37 am on 14 August 2018. A silver Ford Fiesta was captured on CCTV making a right turn before making a sharp left turn into cyclists and pedestrians. The car then continued down a small road, presumably targeting the police on patrol there, before coming to a stop at a security barrier near the House of Lords. The attack lasted 15 seconds. Three people sustained injuries, one suffering severe injuries.[3]
The Metropolitan Police stated that the incident appeared to be a deliberate act.[1]

Transport
Transport for London announced that Westminster tube station was closed for entry and exit but was still open for interchange.[4]
