Miyan Lalo is a jute leaf soup made commonly eaten by Hausa people of northern Nigeria. It is similar to the ewedu soup eaten amongst the Yoruba people.

Procedure

  1. Boil the meat in a pot with the stock cube, grated onion, and a little water.
  2. Add the jute leaves and kanwa to the pot of meat. Cook for 5–10 minutes.
  3. Blend together the pepper and chopped onion to get a purée. Add this to the pot along with the daddawa, then cook for 2 minutes.
