Usage notes
[edit]- Geldelijk is chiefly used to refer to money in a concrete or direct context, as in e.g. een geldelijke bijdrage (“a contribution in the form of money”). In contemporary Dutch it is rarely used in abstract contexts such as “monetary policy” (monetair beleid or geldbeleid instead).
