[edit]From Proto-Albanian *aiska, from Proto-Indo-European *aisk- (“bright, shining”). Cognate to Lithuanian áiškus (“clear, bright”), Old Norse eiskra (“rage before hot excitement”), Old Church Slavonic искра (iskra, “spark”).
